Can Everyone Fit In Los Angeles

Addison Smith

Having a good place to live is a key factor in having a happy life. Not only does it make your daily commute more pleasant, but it also gives you closer proximity to friends and family that matter to you.

If you are living in an area where there’s not much open space for walking or biking outside, don’t settle for being one of the many people who live close to the beach or downtown.

You deserve better than that. You have paid enough money for this apartment, so take advantage of what it has to offer.

There are several ways to fit in with all the other Angelenos by investing in the community. Here are some easy things you can do.

Join a sports team

Most major cities have at least one professional football (soccer), basketball, or baseball team in their sporting district. Find out if anyone is looking for new members and go show them how great you are!

Running through the gates after practice every day is a great way to meet your neighbors and form friendships.

Alternatively, see if any of the teams play near you and watch a game with some beers!

Many universities have student unions that hold events almost every night of the week. Check out what they have to offer and join in!

Take part in local festivals and celebrations

These types of events tend to gather lots of people, making it easier to make new acquaintances.

No, there are too many people

There is just no space for everyone to fit in this city. It’s close enough that we can tell it rains here almost every day of the year, but not quite dry enough to have an adequate water source.

There isn’t much green space, which seems like a crying shame when you look at all of the money being poured into our economy right now!

And while some parts of L.A. might feel safe and cozy, other areas seem far more vulnerable and susceptible to disaster.

It would be so easy to get overwhelmed by everything going on around us and stop doing things because we don’t want to start a conversation or make a friend. We become very lonely and isolated as individuals, and we also lose perspective of what matters most- ourselves, our loved ones, and our dreams.

So why do I write a whole article about how hard it is to find your place in L.A.? Because I believe that if you work on understanding who you are and learning to value yourself, then life will treat you with more respect than it does now.

You see, we’re living in a time where self-love is sorely lacking. People spend their lives trying to gain attention through overproduction and overextension, which only creates more stress and frustration.

In order to fix this, we must begin with themselves.

It’ll be difficult to get a good spot

As beautiful as it is, California has a very limited amount of space for people. There are simply not enough parks, green spaces or rooftops to house all of its residents.

This isn’t unique to California - every major metropolitan area around the world faces this problem at some point. But with population growth, our cities are experiencing more congestion than ever before.

Many experts predict that urban populations will continue to grow due to rising incomes and living standards across developing nations. This means we’ll need to find new ways to provide quality public services to an increasing number of people.

But there’s only so much land available, especially in big coastal metros like LA where real estate is expensive.

You’ll have a tough time making friends

Having a good number of close friendships is an important part of your life, it makes you feel happier and more confident as person. It also gives you some sense of security when things are bad at work or home.

But if you live in one of the most populous cities in America, finding those friends can be difficult.

Finding new friends isn’t easy in any city, but it’s even harder in sprawling metropolises like New York, Chicago, or LA. If you want to enjoy the many benefits that friendship offers, you will need to make an effort to meet people.

And while there are plenty of ways to get help with this - from using social media, to going out into the community - nothing compares to talking to people in bars and restaurants.

However, not every major metropolitan area allows for that kind of friendly interaction. This article will look at why that is and what you can do to stay active.

You need a car

Having a place to live is only half of what makes up someone’s life, the other half is how they get around town. If you don’t have a way to transport yourself around, then it becomes difficult to visit friends or go to work.

There are many ways to get around LA, the most common ones being walking, biking, taking public transportation, or owning a vehicle. Each one has their pros and cons so deciding which one is right for you depends mostly on your situation.

For example, if you like to walk outside often, try using the bus or train more frequently instead of relying on cars as an option. More popular routes will likely be crowded, making it harder to connect with people. For people who enjoy exploring new places, use the limited traffic resources to access the city.

However, air pollution is a major concern that doesn’t quite seem worthy of the cost-efficiency ratio when you consider all the different substances coming out of every engine.

There are too many tourists

With such a popular destination, there is an ever-growing number of people traveling to this city. More and more people are deciding to visit because it’s relatively affordable as well as accessible via transportation.

However, with all these visitors comes issues like homelessness, traffic congestion, and overdevelopment. These things not only affect those who live here, but also give rise to more expensive living for residents.

If you love spending time outside and exploring new places, then staying during the off season (January through March, September through November) is your best bet. The school year brings in lots of students and teachers, and then summer is very busy as well!

But what about the rest of the year? If possible, try to avoid visiting at peak times like spring break or national holidays. This will help make sure that your experience does not include heavy tourist crowds.

Some ways to reduce the stress from tourism while still having fun includes limiting how much money you spend, using public transport instead of cars, and sharing information and experiences with locals.

You’ll get ripped off

As beautiful as some parts of LA can be, there is no way everyone can afford to live here. It seems like every day we read about another restaurant or shop closing down because they cannot survive financially.

Many businesses have adapted by offering discount prices or even free services due to low sales. This is great for those that know about their products and are loyal customers, but not necessarily for people who want to spend money.

A lot of tourists choose to visit during times of year when the weather is nice instead of winter or spring, which is when most of these closures occur. If you love spending time outside, experiences such as walking around town or taking public transportation are much more affordable than buying a car!

There is an argument that if enough people buy things then it will keep up the economy, however this doesn’t always hold true. The rich already spend lots so what difference does it make to them?

The cost of living has increased dramatically over the past few years due to the skyrocketing price of real estate and goods. Tourists that come into the area to enjoy the sights and sounds may also feel targeted since most places are very expensive.

It’s expensive

Living in LA is very expensive, even if you are working full-time and putting away lots of money every day. A lot of things cost a pretty substantial amount to live like one night out or grabbing lunch at a restaurant once a week.

Dining out isn’t cheap unless you frequent restaurants that have their student discounts and/or volunteer discount cards which can save you some serious cash per meal.

A couple of dollars more here and there adds up quickly when it comes to living on a budget in California.

On top of that, transportation costs play an important part in how much your wallet weighs down each day. Taking the bus instead of the train may seem cheaper, but depending on where you need to go and how far you must travel, its price may be just as costly!

Google Maps is a great tool for saving money by informing you of all the different public transport options in and around your area. Finding low priced alternatives to taking the train or bus can reduce how often you must pay for transit.

You’ll get mugged

In fact, you will almost certainly be mugged at some stage while traveling here. It is quite common to hear horror stories of people walking home late at night through very unsafe areas, or staying in safe areas with no security.

Crime is rampant throughout LA and it seems like every day there is a new report about someone being robbed, assaulted, or killed somewhere within the city limits. There are an infinite number of ways for you to be victimized as a traveler here so we will go over some basic safety tips.

We will also discuss how much safer this city is than many others that have been targeted by violent crime. Many cities actually boast about having more frequent crimes committed against them because they have better public safety measures in place. This isn’t the case in LA though!

If you’re looking to travel abroad then the countrysides of Europe are just as dangerous if not more so. The same goes for any major metropolitan area in North America really. Don’t believe us? Check out our article: 9 Best Budget Travel Tips For Students.
