F On Cinemascore
The term “cinematic experience” has become almost meaningless in today’s movie market. With every new blockbuster hitting theaters, people are talking about how much it sucks or how boring it is. Many casual moviegoers no longer feel that there’s a need to see most of these movies because there are so many others like them!
The other day I debated whether or not to watch Captain America: Civil War, one of my favorite superhero films. I found out that my friends had all decided not to go since it only holds a 70% rating on Rottentomatoes, which obviously makes it bad. So why would I want to watch something with such low ratings?
That is what this article will be focusing on: How important the cinematic score is in helping determine if a film is good or not. It is very possible that you may have already experienced a poor quality soundtrack, so do not worry about getting too familiar!
We will be discussing some key points about the importance of music in cinema as well as examples and stories.
What does a bad Cinemascore mean?

So what is a bad Cinemascore? A bad score means that you probably didn’t like the movie!
That should not be taken as a sign of the film being bad, though. Many people love movies with very negative reviews - just look at all the fan theories around The Avengers!
A bad review usually happens for one of two reasons: either the reviewer was so passionate about the film that they overstated their case or the film simply did not work for them. It might have been due to personal issues, but most films will find someone who doesn’t enjoy it.
However, there are ways to deal with a poor CinemaScore rating. First, understand why it happened. Was it because the plot was too confusing? Because some of the scenes were boring? Or maybe the acting wasn’t good enough?
If you can identify a cause, then your chances of changing or fixing it will be much better. Also, the same thing applies when getting a new job - if you can’s put up with something, then don’t apply unless you are sure you will.
What should I pay attention to when I go to the movies?

The most important thing to know about movie theaters is that they are not your average, regular place to watch a movie.
The theater industry has its own scoring system that gives you an overall grade for how much you enjoyed watching a film. This rating is known as the cinemacore or cinema score.
This does not include whether the film was good or bad, but instead looks at things like acting, story, editing, music, and production value to give you a numerical representation of what it was like to watch the movie.
So what happens if the score is low?
That will probably mean that the movie wasn’t very engaging or interesting. You could also get some really high scores, so don’t expect lots of half-way pleasant experiences in here!
Most people agree that a score of 7 is considered medium, 8 is normal, and a 9 and above is great. So anything below a 6 is something you may want to look into why it is lower than the rest.
It can be because the media left out parts of the film, there were too many pauses while the screenwriter took breaks, or the audio quality was poor.
All of these factors cost time away from the movie which makes the filmmaker less wealthy (the budget for the movie included spending money on all those things).
What should I watch to get a good Cinemascore?

The best way to enjoy any movie is by watching it for what it is: a piece of entertainment! If you feel compelled to evaluate how “good” or “bad” the film was, then you have gone too far.
A cinemascore is not an evaluation of the quality of the film, but instead if the audience liked the film or not. By adding value to this process, we can learn some things about the movies themselves and also about society.
By learning more about why people like or dislike certain films, you will be able to use that knowledge to create your own favorites. Plus, you will understand the effects of media on our culture.
What should I watch to get a bad Cinemascore?

As we mentioned earlier, the cinemascore is not factually accurate. It does not take into account how many people went to see a movie, or whether they shared the experience with others.
The score also depends on what kind of audience you have that likes or loves movies more than other audiences do.
If there are never anyone around you who enjoys films, then your scores will be lower because you would normally have someone else using the app to check out a new film.
Also, if a lot of people stop watching a show after one episode, the app may give it a low score due to lack of interest.
Are there any tips for moviegoers?

Beyond just watching a film, how you interact with the movie is very important!
The cinemascore website lists what they consider to be key components of an engaging viewing experience. These include: length, storyline, characters, effects, action, music, pace, sense of time, surprise, etc.
If none of these are clearly achieved then it will hurt your perception of the film and its quality. You should give the film a chance but if you feel that it has failed then don’t hesitate to express your opinion!
Movie goers who actively chat about the movie, laugh at funny parts, emphasize important plot points, and ask questions related to the story and/or filmmaking can make the experience much more fun for the next person who watches it.
These types of conversations can bring people together and help them relate, which is always a good thing.
What should I see at the cinema?

The most basic thing we as consumers can do to improve our movie watching experiences is ask questions!
Asking what people feel about a film, whether it was good or bad, why they liked or disliked it, etc., is one of the greatest tools you have when it comes to improving your cinematic experience.
The cinematography, acting, writing, music, overall production quality - everything contributes to how much you enjoy the movie, so asking these things definitely makes a difference.
But beyond that, there’s something called the CinemaScore which actually tells you more about the movie than all those other factors combined.
The term “CinemaScore” sounds fancy and expensive, but it’s free to watch online via some streaming services. All you need to do is go onto YouTube and look up your favorite movies!
Usually, within minutes of the movie being released, anyone who has seen it gives their opinion either through a review site, Twitter, or by directly commenting on whatever platform the movie uses to communicate with its audience (Facebook, for example).
By reading the comments left behind by the movie, you will be able to tell if someone really enjoyed the movie, even if they didn’t speak highly of the plot, or if they thought the characters were boring. This way, you’ll know not only whether or not the movie was enjoyable, but also whether or not it resonated with certain audiences.
What should I watch on Netflix?

Now that you have all of your favorite TV shows in the streaming world, it is time to figure out what to stream! The next step is figuring out which show you want to start watching.
The first thing we recommend is to add yourself onto an email list for each streaming service. This way, you will get notified when they release new seasons or movies so you can decide if you are ready to binge-watch them or not.
Netflix has a great tool where you can find new content to watch. They call it Your Watchlist. You can access this by clicking the icon view at the top of their app. Then simply search through their database to find something new you might like.
Another good place to look for new content is in the entertainment section of the mobile apps. Many companies give away free samples of one movie or television show to try out before buying a full season pass. These are very well done, so don’t forget to check those out!
If you are still struggling to choose what to watch, use our helpful tools to determine the best fit for you. We have everything from how much money you spend per month to determine your “streaming power” to whether you are more into action or comedy.
Do I need a Movie Pass card?

Yes, you do! If you want to see a movie at the AMC Empire Theater or any other theater that uses AMG as their ticketing service, then you DO NEED A MEMBER IDENTITY ON FILE WITH AMG!
That’s not too difficult, though - all you have to do is go to myaccount.amgconnect.com where you can create your account and link it to your current address and email.
Once everything is linked up, you will be able to access all of your previous purchases as well as renewals online!
AMG offers many different plans for memberships, so there’t really one best fit for everyone. Just make sure you are aware of what each plan includes before buying it.
