G Hollywood
As we all know, there is an overabundance of superhero movies in the market today. With so many out there it can be hard to find one that you enjoy enough to watch again and again. The ones that do are either very clichéd or feature too much blood and gore for some people.
Luckily, this article will talk about five different movie genres that have their own unique style and settings that make them stand out. These styles include action, sci-fi, drama, comedy, and thriller. All of these types of films have something special going for them, so why not add some more to your collection?
This article will also discuss what makes each genre tick and some examples of these stories told within those genres.
Grauman’s Chinese Theatre

As we all know, actor is an individual who portrays different characters for a living. Therefore, it makes sense that their studio or production company has a place to showcase their work. These establishments are called acting studios, film schools, or just like what they are - Chinesepubliclyfunded movie theaters.
One such theater is famous both in and out of the industry; it is named after its founder - Grauman’sChineseTheatre.
Not only does this building serve as a movie theatre, but it also hosts red carpet events and premieres which increase the prestige of its owner- The Walt Disney Company!
Disney owns many other well known companies including Pixar, Marvel Studios, and more. They even own part of Netflix, making it possible to watch some of their movies online.
So why not use this opportunity to learn something about how these companies operate? Many of them have their very own internal departments that handle publicity, marketing, and communication. A lot of these positions require at least a degree so if you want to be part of the media team for a major corporation, you should consider getting one.
Paramount Studios
In addition to having some of the most famous movie studios in the world, including Warner Brothers, Universal Pictures, and Disney, there is also one other major studio located right here in America! You probably have heard of this company before - it’s called Paramount.
You may have seen their name on movies like Mission Impossible or The Godfather, but what many people don’t realize is that Paramount has its own TV network too!
Their channel is called EPIC (short for Entertainment Programming International Channel) and you can find it on almost every cable provider.
Not only does Epic have lots of entertaining shows, they are also known for being socially conscious and promoting diversity and inclusivity.
This article will talk about five important things you should know about Epic as a platform for social change and how you can use them to contribute.
Heck, even if you aren’t much of a watcher of television, you can do at least one of these! They’re all pretty easy to participate in! So read on to see just how you can help make an impact through this medium.
1. Participate in #EpicAwareness
One way to get involved with Epic is by attending #EpicAwareness events. These occur when the media team decides to promote a show or event on the network using different strategies.
Sunset Blvd

One of my favorite films is definitely Sunset Boulevard. It’s not just because it's really interesting to watch, but also how much it shows off the acting talent of some very famous people. Who can forget Robert Redford as an adoring fan who tries his best to win over Gloria Swanson (Nicole Kidman)? Or Meryl Streep playing a self-absorbed actress that doesn’t know what love is?
The film follows screenwriter William Holden (played by Oscar winner Bryan Gordon) as he writes the screenplay for a movie about a fading star named Elisha Cook Jr. He has to deal with both his internal struggles and external distractions in order to complete his work.
Many critics have cited this movie as one of the greatest ever made due to its depth and rich storytelling. While the characters are clearly defined, they still feel three dimensional and natural. This is probably due to the fact that director Billy Wilder spent a lot of time developing each character before shooting their respective scenes.
He would spend hours alone with them outside the room where they were filming, getting to know them better than possibly anywhere else. This is something most filmmakers don’t do anymore since everything is shot almost simultaneously.
Rodeo Drive

While not as well known as other famous shopping districts, such as Beverly Hills’s Rodeo Drive or Miami’s South Beach Plaza, The Grove in Los Angeles is just as rich in history- it has its own unique story to tell!
The area that is now called “Gollywood” was first inhabited by Native American tribes for centuries before being colonized by Spain and later Mexico.
It wasn’t until after California became part of America in 1848 that the land really started to develop. After gold was discovered nearby, people began moving into the surrounding areas looking for their fortunes. Many settlers took advantage of the thriving market for agricultural goods and supplies in downtown L.A., and built homes and businesses along what they needed - which happened to be groceries.
This soon developed into an affluent community with wealthy farmers living close to the city. They would travel outside the borders of their neighborhoods either by horseback or car, making this area popularly know today as “Rancho Country.”
In fact, one very successful rancher actually had his ranch house designed directly across the street from the future home of movie star Greta Garbo! This helped start her career in acting, as she lived next door to someone who inspired her to pursue it.
But all good things must come to an end, unfortunately. As more people moved into the area, there came a time when enough was never quite enough.
The Beverly Hills Hotel

With its reputation as one of the most glamorous hotels in America, The Beverly Hilton is home to some of the biggest names in show business. It was here where many A-listers have spent their nights since the hotel opened in 1937!
The hotel boasts of having over 700 rooms and suites, making it one of the largest hotels in Los Angeles. There are also around 70 restaurants and lounges across all five floors.
It’s not just famous faces that stay at this 5 star accommodation either - past guests include President Obama, who stayed here when he visited California in 2011, and Meryl Streep, who enjoyed her tenth anniversary with her husband here back in 2007.
In fact, there’s even a room dedicated to her!
Many people consider staying at the hotel a way to boost your image and self-confidence, especially if you’re looking to join the elite few who have been invited into the inner circle. Others simply enjoy the experience for what it is; a night out filled with great food and entertainment.
Grauman’s Chinese Theatre

When you visit the famous movie theater known as Grauman's, you will notice that it is not your average cinema.
The theater gets its name from American entrepreneur Samuel Thomas Grumbacher (also known as Harry Langdon), who in 1909 purchased an acre of land next to the studios he founded, General Pictures. At this time, the area was mostly vacant desert with some mining operations happening around The Valley.
Grumbacher hired local artist Ernest Angel to design the building for his new studio. He wanted a structure with lots of windows so people could admire the scenery while watching films, which inspired him to use red tiles in various shapes and sizes to create a patterned look.
Grauman's opened as "Chinese Theater" in May 1927, but soon faced competition when another movie theatre was built across the street. This prompted Grumbacher to rebrand his venue as just 'Movie Theatres'.
In 1934, after years of running the business side of things, he bought out the other shareholders and became sole owner. In later years he would add interior decorations such as palm trees and plants, giving the space more depth and character.
After his passing in 1954, ownership passed onto his daughter Florence Grumman. She ran the theater until her death in 1995 where she bequeathed the property to the City and County of Los Angeles. It now belongs to the State of California as part of the Department of Parks and Recreation.
Universal Studios

With its premiere in 2005, Universal Studios made a name for itself by taking what was typically expensive or not accessible to most people and creating theme parks that allowed you to feel like a true movie fan.
With rides such as The Amazing Spider-Man Coaster, Revenge of the Mummy Ride, Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, Walking with Beasts, The Simpsons Ride, Disaster! - The Movie Attraction and Superstar Tours, there’s really nothing too crazy or extravagant about this park.
But all of these experiences are great ways to enjoy the studio's movies. And even more than just watching a movie, it’s experiencing the theme, setting and action of one that makes them so special.
The same goes for visiting during different times throughout the year. For example, how many kids go on an adventure tour while listening to songs about friendship? Or how few adults ride the coasters after having some drinks?
There is always something new at Universal Studios, which gives people of any age an opportunity to appreciate the art of filmmaking.
The Hollywood Walk of Fame

The Hollywood Walk of Fame was an iconic way to recognize artists with their own street or plaza name as well as commemorate significant events in someone’s career. It began back in 1927 when there were only about 200,000 people living in LA!
Since its inception, over 1,200 different artists have been given a place along this famous walkway, including some who went onto greater things like movie stars. Some even made it into legends status!
Many people know that several of these artist are now immortalized by having their work stamped into the cement with their names and sometimes even a little bit of art. Others however, do not.
It is important to note though that while many may no longer be actively creating pieces of artwork, they did at one time and left behind valuable lessons in artistic expression. These include everything from color theory to composition to psychology and more.
