Worst movie of the year

This week, we are taking a look at one of the most egregious examples of over-the-top filmmaking that has ever been bestowed with an award show. We will be looking at this film as our worst movie of the year because it is not only bad, but it also sets a very poor example for other filmmakers.

The movie in question is called The Emoji Movie and I would like to take some time to talk about how awful it really is.
Start off by watching the trailer. Now watch the same clip, but instead of hearing someone say the word “Emoji”, listen to them say the words “Stupid emoji!” or even worse, “Boring!”

Now you have seen the exact same thing twice, except now there is a reason why those scenes feel so repetitive. And what makes it even more frustrating is that both versions of the trailer contain strong messages that contradict each other.

It is hard to believe that such an iconic symbol of our culture could be made into something so boring and clichéd, but that is exactly what happened here. People may call me crazy, but I will keep posting my emojis until they give me a better explanation than just ‘they are funny’.
