How Did Zac Efron Get Famous
As you probably know, The Fall TV season is coming to an end next month! That means there will be one final round of television shows for us to enjoy before winter takes over again.
Many people have asked me how I was able to stay awake while all these new shows were airing, especially during the recent summer lull when nothing really grabbed our attention. So here’s my tip - use those newly-acquired sleep skills to watch some of this year's hottest actors in action.
Zac Efron has been in several movies that most people haven't heard of, but he's about to break out big time. He'll play the lead role in his very own movie called Dear White Father.
And although it isn't officially released yet, many sites are already giving him top honors as the Best Actor nominee of 2017. Why? Because he totally steals every scene he's in with ease!
He doesn't just come across as likeable, he comes across as likable AF (which stands for almost perfect)! His acting style is unique and identifiable, which makes it easy to relate to him as a character.
That said, let's take a look at some of his greatest acting moments to see what kind of talent he has under the hood.
Danced his way to stardom
After leaving high school, most young adults focus their attention on getting into the best colleges that offer large scholarships. Some begin looking towards the career track as an accountant or lawyer. Others decide to go get a degree in something practical such as medicine or engineering.
But not everyone is motivated by money and success. There are many people out there who are simply too cool to work.
Zac Efron is one of these individuals. He never wanted to be famous for being rich or having big muscles. He only ever wanted to be known for being hot.
He made this clear when he was 18 years old and starred in the movie The Hard Word. Here, he played a student with a mission; to destroy the university’s internal student organization program by performing a lewd dance move called the Chippendale Dance at its annual gala.
This isn’t your average student group recruitment event.
Became a meme
Many people recognize him for his work as an actor, but less known is how he got there. He rose to stardom via the internet!
As you know, the internet has its own style of communication that people have adapted. People use it to share pictures and videos and talk about things!
It’s very common to see funny or interesting photos get “liked” and spread quickly across social media sites. This happened with Zac’s famous dancing pose back in April 2016!
He did this while filming a scene for the movie The Greatest Showman where he dances with Mandy Moore.
Went to the beach to take a break
While most people his age would be relaxing at home or doing something active, such as swimming or surfing, Zac instead decided to do something totally unexpected. He went to the beach!
He met some other people that were also spending their day at the beach and they all sat together around an open fire. The men of this group gathered close to each other while women stood away from the crowd.
This is how Zac got involved in the conversation, he said hello to one person before realizing there was someone else right next to him with their hand extended. So he automatically grabbed another person’s hand and joined in the chat, even though he wasn’t really talking to them.
You may have seen this pose done by famous people many times before, it’s called passing the torch. When you pass someone’s hand off your own wrist, it means you want to spend time with them and possibly hang out with them later.
That’s what happened here - Zac wanted to become friends with these people so he asked if they had anything planned for the rest of the afternoon. They didn’t, but they invited him to come watch fireworks with them.
Went on a date with a fan
After meeting at an IHeartRadio Awards party, Zoe and Zac went out for dinner and drinks the next night. They made such a good couple that they decided to go on their very first official date!
They met up at a rooftop bar in downtown LA where most of the bars have private event spaces. It was beautifully decorated and had a great view of the city.
The drink list included many unique flavors which were all clearly labeled. There was also live music playing which helped make the setting more intimate.
After several beverages, the two sat down at one of the private tables and just connected. They talked about everything - from politics to sports to life lessons.
Became a dad
After five years of dating, Zac Efron announced he was engaged to his longtime girlfriend, actress Jenna Boyd! They have a son together named Lincoln James Adriel Dacre-Boyd (Zac for short) born in May 2018. The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at their home in early 2019.
Prior to marrying her fiancé, Boyd revealed that she had been dreaming about having a family since she was little. She even mentioned wanting three or four kids during their engagement. When asked if there were any rules regarding number of children she wanted, she responded with only one!
She said that she would accept two as long as they were both boys. Luckily, her and Zac are good partners who work well together so we’re sure it won’t be a problem!
After announcing their news, fans took to social media to congratulate them on their exciting new milestone. Many also congratulated them on being such great parents and hoped they enjoyed their time as newly minted parents.

Became a superhero
After leaving The Greatest Showman as Pomp, an incredible dancer who performed in the show, Zane El-Kaplan aka Captain America decided to make his acting debut in Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War. As Steve Rogers (aka Captain America), he starred alongside Benedict Cumberbatch as the villainous Red Skull.
His performance received universal acclaim and he won several awards for it including Best Supporting Actor at the 2019 Screenings Awards. He also got nominated for Best Performance in A Superhero Film at the Saturn Award but lost to Jared Leto (for Joker).
He then reprised his role as Cap in Avengers 4 where his character was killed off-screen. This didn’t stop him from achieving stardom though as he now has his own action movie!
Zac Efron is set to star in New Mutants which will be released in April 2020. It follows a group of teenagers who are bitten by a radioactive monster and thus gain superhuman abilities.

Montag opened up several boutique stores that focused on healthful eating. She also founded diet supplement brand Purely for Health! In 2017, she sold both companies to GNC for $30 million.
She later launched another business selling keto-friendly food and beverages. Ketogenic diets are characterized by high amounts of fat while limited or even no carbs.
Zac Efron eventually joined Montag in this new career path when he invested in her keto startup in early 2018. He is now part owner of KetoBuddy, which offers low-carb snacks and drinks.
Heidi and Zac remain close friends and work together on projects from time tot o time. They even have a daughter who was born in May 2019.
Became a style icon
When people talk about Zac Efron being famous, they mean it! He has become one of the most recognisable faces in show business, with his ever-changing looks making him seem like he is in this for the fashion.
Zac started off playing funny guys in romantic comedies, but as his career took off, so did his look - and not necessarily in a good way.
He got very into dramatic eye makeovers, heavy eyeliner and fake lashes, heavily bronzed face and neck coverage, and sometimes even clown makeup or full-on cartoon character styles. It was all just too much at times.
It’s hard to tell whether he actually likes any of these looks himself because he keeps changing them, but they clearly don’t hurt his image!
These over-the-top hairdos and skin treatments are what made him popular, though. His tan line is always visible, and his hair is almost never still. And his penchant for lip rings makes for some interesting pictures.
