How Far Is Los Angeles From Kansas City

Addison Smith

With all of the talk about how expensive living in L.A. can be, some may be missing the bigger picture. What people don’t realize is that unless you are rich or live in a very wealthy part of town, life in LA can actually be quite affordable.

There are many ways to tell if someone is well-off. They might have a house in the beach area, they could put up a good front at work, and they probably spend money traveling for business. All of these things cost money, however.

For most Americans, having a lot of money is becoming less common. This is why it is important to evaluate whether or not your lifestyle needs to shift in order to accommodate lower income earners.

Fortunately, there are several ways to do this. By looking into what cities in America with similar economies to our own we can determine where costs lie. Some of the more prominent factors include average home prices, grocery store availability, and transportation options.

By comparing these numbers side by side, we can find which ones are the least expensive to live in. These are typically considered low-income areas.

The distance between Los Angeles and New York is 9,000 miles

In terms of overall distance, it’s easy to lose sight of how large that gap really is. While most people probably feel like there’s a lot of space in-between L.A. and NYC, the truth is that what makes up this total length isn’t very dense.

The vast majority of the 9,000 mile difference comes down to one thing: time. Time spent traveling from one city to the other depends mostly on when you go and not exactly how long you stay in either place.

If you lived in LA and wanted to visit NY for just two weeks, your trip would take around eight days.

The distance between Los Angeles and Chicago is 1,300 miles

In terms of total highway mileage, it’s not quite as far as you might think! There are actually only six highways that connect both cities together for a total trip length of 5,600 miles, or 934 kilometers- nearly three times the average US road length (2,700 miles).

That means there are five extra roads that link these two metropolises. And while some may consider this to be bad, I find it very interesting because it shows how connected these two major metropolitan areas are with each other!

This article will discuss my favorite of these routes and why it matters.

The distance between Los Angeles and Houston is 1,500 miles

While it may seem like there’s not much of a difference between the two cities, how far each one is from the other makes a big difference in the feel of your trip.

Los Angeles and New York are separated by around 2,000 miles, but their differences make for some interesting trips.

A couple days spent in either city will tell you that they're very different cultures. A lot of things about them are influenced by their proximity to the beach and water.

But beyond that, they have totally separate cultures that develop over time. You'll see lots more cars in LA than in NYC, for example.

And while people might go out of their way in both places to show off their expensive clothes or houses, it's worth noting that none of this would be necessary if everyone had their own money.

In fact, most major US cities exist because they were built upon wealthy individuals or companies who lived close together and shared resources.

The distance between Los Angeles and San Diego is 1,400 miles

While some might consider it odd to call California as being close to another state, 1,400 miles really isn’t that far of a drive!

California actually borders two other states; Nevada to the east, and Arizona to the south west. This means that you can travel from one side of California to the other in just under three weeks if you wanted to do so!

If you were to take this journey at the height of summer when there are beautiful beaches for your exploring, then you would get to enjoy all four seasons in just about half a year!

And while most people associate spring with flowers and warm weather, winter in California is truly magnificent. There are many places where snow falls every night, creating white wonders across the landscape.

The distance between Los Angeles and Miami is 1,900 miles

Technically speaking, the city of Chicago is not in Missouri, but rather Indiana! But I will leave that for you to figure out as we go through all 10 possible routes from LA to MIA.

Route #1: San Francisco to Las Vegas via Reno and Salt Lake City

This is by far the shortest route, taking only three days to complete. Starting in California, travelers make their way east across Nevada and then Utah before entering Arizona. Once in Arizona, tourists turn north towards Flagstaff where they spend one night before heading over the Colorado state line into Denver, CO.

From there, it’s a short hop down Interstate 70 into South Dakota and onto Sioux Falls, SD where you can connect with Interstates 90 or 29 southbound. Finally, drivers take exit 101B at Mitchell, MT and drop back down into Wyoming where they have to decide whether to stay on I-90 westbound or head southbound on US 89.

The choice really comes down to personal preference, so whichever direction you choose doesn’t matter too much.

The distance between Los Angeles and Orlando is 1,500 miles

If you’ve been thinking about moving to or from LA then this article has some great information for you! We are going to look at how far it is to get away from Disneyland and travel by plane to another major airport that connects directly with the city.

The most popular way to get into the United States is through an international destination like Canada or Mexico. Since California contains many of the best attractions in America, most people traveling through the area will be heading towards somewhere else after their vacation.

By taking the direct flight route, your new home can be anywhere within our country so there is no need to specify which state you want to live in! That makes finding a house much easier as you do not have to consider where houses are located in your budget.

Another important factor is transportation; does your new place of residence have good public transport? This includes buses, trains, and taxis! It would also depend on whether you prefer walking or using cars. A lot of cities offer free trolleys or streetcars around town so make sure to check out the surrounding areas before deciding if this is acceptable.

The distance between Los Angeles and San Francisco is 4,800 miles

While it may seem like there’s not much of a difference between living in California or Oregon as opposed to Washington or Montana, one thing that sets these states apart is their accessibility.

California, Nevada, Arizona, and Florida are all very accessible by plane. You can easily get to any of them within two days. This is great if you're traveling for business!

You'll probably have more options when it comes to transportation here than you would back home. For example, you could live close to a major airport so that you don't need a car for daily trips. Or, you could take public transport which goes where you want to go.

There's an excellent chance that your job will offer paid time off, too. Many employers give their employees vacation time or use of company cars for travel.
