How Is Hollywood Beach Florida
Located in southeast Miami, Hollywood is one of the most popular beaches in America. It’s also one of the friendliest! The area has something for everyone - there are many restaurants and shops along Washington Avenue, as well as several hotels within walking distance to the beach.
Many people visit Hollywood because it offers some of the best surfing in the world. There are three main breaks off the shore that attract surfers from all over the globe (and beyond). If you love watching professional surfers perform their craft, then this place was designed just for you!
Another reason why so many people enjoy visiting Hollywood is due to its nightlife. After spending time at the beach or catching an event at nearby arenas, what better way to relax than heading into one of the many bars and clubs here?
There’s always something going on at Hollywood since it’s such a busy destination.

Located in Palm Beach County is what many refer to as “The Newest Addition To The List Of Best Beaches In America”- Hollywood Beach!
Hollywood has been drawing visitors since it opened its doors in 1988 under the name Silver Sands State Park. Since then, it has blossomed into one of South Florida’s most popular beaches with over 20 million annual visits!
It was not too long ago that you could only access this beautiful shoreline by boat or car. This didn’t help things when there were very few hotels close to the beach and no easy ways for tourists to get from place to place.
But all of these changes have made it possible for people to enjoy the beauty of Hollywood Beach without having to take expensive taxis or ride share services. Now, even locals can visit the beach at any time!
What makes Hollywood such an incredible beach? There are several reasons why it is so well known and visited. One of the main reasons is how accessible the beach is. Almost anyone can visit this golden strand, regardless of budget or schedule.
There are still ways to spend money if you want to relax and unwind, but you don't have to go far to do this.
The beach is a long stretch of sand
As mentioned before, Hollywood Beach is a very popular destination in South Miami. There are many ways to spend your time at this beautiful area. You can take some barbeque supplies and enjoy it next to the water or you can visit one of the restaurants along the boardwalk for something more substantial.
If staying active is what you love, then there are plenty of options as well. Renting a boat or taking swimming lessons is great way to have fun in the sun while also getting some exercise.
There are even organized activity tours where groups meet up at the beach and do things like kayaking or parasailing.
The boardwalk has many restaurants and bars
Located in Bal Harbour, just west of South Miami along Biscayne Bay, Hollywood Beach is one of the most popular beach towns in the United States!
The boardwalk here features several eateries and drink vendors as well as plenty of seating. There are also changing rooms and bathrooms for people to use while washing off or putting on their swimsuits.
People come here to enjoy the beautiful view of the water and spend some time at the various beach-themed bars and clubs that exist. Many visit this town for its nightlife scene too!
Overall, this place is very popular due to all of these things and more.
The Fontainebleau is a famous hotel
The Fontainebleau was built in 1955 as a luxury resort for wealthy people. It has since been transformed into one of the most well-known hotels in Miami.
The hotel features 629 guest rooms and suites, many with beautiful views of Biscayne Bay or downtown Miami.

Having lived in Miami for my whole life, I have learned a lot of things about this city that people may or may not know. One of these is how well-known Hollywood beach is!
Hollywood has always been known as one of the most popular beaches in South Florida, but it’s really ramped up since around 2010 when media coverage began to increase. Since then, hotels have sprouted all along the area and now you can even stay right next door to the sand at The Ritz Carlton Hotel!
The best way to enjoy Hollywood beach is by visiting during off season (winter) or early morning before the crowds arrive. You will find much more space and less tourists than during summer time!
If you are traveling with kids, make sure to bring lots of activities and snacks because there are many kid-friendly attractions nearby. For example, we visited one day after a long walk on the boardwalk and we were starving so we bought some pizza from the restaurant across the street.
Find a good movie theater
Finding a great movie theater is like finding your favorite restaurant- you want to go where they make things that matter to you feel authentic and special.
The same goes for movie theaters! You want one that feels comfortable, relaxed, and beautiful to watch movies in.
You don’t care about flashy decorations or big screen TVs if the seats are uncomfortable or the air conditioning isn’t working properly. And you definitely won’t stay for long if there aren’t snacks or drinks available. (Not even a bagged popcorn!)
Hollywood beach is home to some incredible movie going experiences with all of these qualities.
Find a good club
There are two main ways to enjoy Hollywood beach nightlife. One is by going into the larger, more popular areas like Downtown or Mid-Beach, and the other is staying in the area closer to the boardwalk and/or the ocean.
The best way to decide which one is right for you depends mostly on your budget as well as what kind of nightlife experience you want. If you would prefer low key, then stay in the quieter parts of town!
There are many great places to go out in Hollywood beach. You can find almost anything you’re looking for; from large scale parties with big name DJs to quiet nights at intimate venues. It really does not matter where you go as long as you are happy and having fun!
Hollywood has quite the reputation for being a party destination so don’t hesitate to check it out if partying is what you love to do.
Enjoy the sun and beach
One of my favorite things to do in Miami is visit Hollywood Beach! It is so close to home, you can easily spend hours just exploring all there is to see and do. You will find many restaurants and stores along North Ocean Boulevard, making it easy to eat or shop at any time.
Hollywood has something for everyone - from kids to adults with every type of activity available. There are parasailing companies, surfing lessons, volleyball nets, playgrounds, sports fields, and even swimming pools.
Many people enjoy spending their days walking around the boardwalk or taking an active stroll down one of the beautiful beaches in South Florida. Some like buying souvenirs, while others love eating at the various eateries that offer unique cuisine.
Overall, how much fun you want to have depends on your personal preferences. If you would rather stay inside and watch TV then movie theaters, I recommend staying away from Hollywood.
