Although there are plenty of things to do in LA, some areas can get expensive if your budget is limited. If you want to stay within your means, then avoid going to certain neighborhoods or attractions unless you have money to spend.
Some popular tourist destinations such as Hollywood and Sunset Boulevard are unfortunately very expensive. The same goes for many other major attractions in California such as Disneyland and Universal Studios.
If you hate crowded malls with lots of stores, then try somewhere more outside the city center. There are so many options out here! You will also find a lot less traffic than inside an area close by.
There are several great alternatives to these sites that can be just as good (if not better) including hiking trails, swimming beaches, and theaters. Some even offer entertainment services for older kids or adults.
Learn about the city
The term “big” can be used to describe many things in this country, including cities. We use it to refer to countries with large populations or buildings that are very tall.
But what does it mean to say something is big? It depends how you look at it.
If you think about it as size relative to other places, then yes, LA is definitely a bigger place than most others. If you compare our area to a circle whose radius is one mile, then sure we're big!
However, there's another way to define "size" which looks more like total amount- not just surface area but volume too. That would make San Francisco, New York City, and Boston all much larger than us.
The best way to describe LA as a city is by its diversity. There are lots of different cultures here, so you get lots of ways to experience new parts of America.
Find a good place to eat
Finding great food in LA is like finding new cars or music genres- it’s mostly about your personal tastes. Certain neighborhoods have better quality eateries than others, but if you are looking for solid eats that don’t cost a fortune, there are some key factors.
The level of service can make a big difference in how much you enjoy your meal, so look for places with friendly staff that seem interested in feeding people. Also, ask whether this restaurant has a strong online presence or not. People who really love their food spend time researching where they could get their favorite dish and then go because they know it will be good!
Next, check out what types of cuisine the restaurant offers. There's no need to order chicken parmesan if you aren't hungry for pasta, and vice versa. If you are trying to watch your weight, find healthy options or at least neutral foods (no pizza unless it has only tomato sauce and olive oil as toppings).
Lastly, see how well known the restaurants are. Even though we all want to try something new every now and then, spending lots of money on bad food is never a good idea. Check out reviews and talk to other people who have been here before to determine the value for money ratio.
Find a good place to go to the movies
Having your own movie theater seat is one of the greatest things you can do for yourself. A few years ago, that was not the case, as most people did not have access to a decent movie theatre.
Nowadays though, it seems like every city has at least one major movie theater. It would be very expensive to pay monthly fees only to find out there are no good films being shown, so you spend all your money going home empty handed.

Most people start working out by using a machine or group class at the gym. Both of these types of classes are usually led by an instructor who teaches the moves and then individuals learn from each other’s motions how to perform them.
Group workouts can be very motivating as everyone around you is there to do the same thing as you - so inspiration becomes a source of strength.
See a famous place
If you love Hollywood, then there is no reason to stay in your hotel room. There are so many great attractions here that it would be foolish to not visit at least one while you’re in town.
Many hotels have free wifi, which allows you to connect directly with the internet. You can also use the facilities at a nearby coffee shop or restaurant.
If you enjoy watching movies, then see a film at a movie theatre. Many theatres offer cheap tickets during off-peak times. Some even have discounts if you buy food or drink before the show!

See a historical place
Located just east of downtown LA is Griffith Park, famous for its beautiful scenery and rich history. The area was first settled in 1839 by Scottish immigrant John Griffith who named it after his home country. It wasn’t until 1888 when the park as we know it today came into existence.
Griffith hired Robert Arthur to design this new section of the park and he incorporated many styles including Gothic Revival, Queen Anne, Romanesque and Renaissance. This gave the area a very distinctive look that still stands out almost a century later.
In 1922, actor George Clooney bought a house with his then-wife Amal here so they could spend their weekends together. They have two children together and are still married today!
Since then, the park has been well known for hosting major events such as the filming of Back To School (1989) and Spiderman 2 (2005). Many people recognize the buildings from these movies and stories about them tell how much impact they had on their loved ones back then.
These events helped promote the area and it continues to do so even now because there are still lots of opportunities to visit and experience the beauty of the park.
