When it comes down to writing, writers are very different people. Some write for hours upon end without break, while others need more time to sit down and start writing. It depends on what type of story you want to tell and how fast you want to tell it!

There is always a first draft that takes an excruciatingly long time. The first few pages usually take a lot longer than later chapters because there are no major events or scenes yet.

After your main plot points are in place, the rest falls into place almost effortlessly. Plus, earlier stages of the novel require less content, so you have extra room to grow.

But unfortunately, early drafts are also the most difficult stage of the booking process. You will probably spend a good amount of time trying to figure out what the next scene should be or where to go with the storyline.

That’s why I would like to talk about another important part of writing: the scriptwriting process.

You would not wait until you were hungry or thirsty to learn how to play the piano, so why should writing be any different? By having a goal in mind, you will likely achieve that goal faster than waiting for the mood to hit.

The hardest part about writing a screenplay is just getting started. Once you do, the rest comes together.

Another way to determine if your writing is slow or quick is by looking at what percentage of the work you have completed. If you are working on a book, for example, then you can calculate how many pages you have written and compare that to how much content you have planned.

The length of time it takes to write a script depends mostly on the story you want to tell and the genre you choose to write in. General fiction books with stories spanning around 100,000 words can be finished in a few months depending on the writer!

For me, my best advice is to simply keep writing every day. You will force yourself to put more effort into your writing as you get better at it. I also recommend reading different scripts and getting inspiration from them.

There are so many ways to learn about making movies; you don’t need to become an expert in film production to make changes to yours! The hardest part comes down to money, but most people are willing to share their knowledge.

By observing the way other writers structure their stories, you will be able to determine what style works best for your narrative. And even if you don’t feel like you’re quite ready to start writing yourself, reading through those stories can give you some tips or inspire you to do so later!

The more closely you look, the easier it becomes to recognize patterns in how authors create narratives. So, once you've got all of your thoughts organized into sequences, you could begin writing down those sequences until one feels complete and interesting.

Sometimes, however, you will come across an article or a comment that makes you feel like this writer is not doing their job.

They may talk about how hard it was for them to write their most recent script, or how much time it took them to create their last manuscript.

This can make you feel bad because writing is a craft and one that takes practice. It cannot be learned quickly unless you are naturally gifted with words.

But let me tell you something - this person did not put in the effort into writing their material until later in life.

Writing is almost always harder than people give it credit for. This is especially true if you are trying to get your feet wet and start writing scripts.

It’ll probably take you months before you feel comfortable saying “I have written my first draft”, even though you might only write half of it!

And I know what you are thinking - why would someone spend hours upon hours creating a piece of content when you could just go online and find any kind of pre-made content?

Well, that would be wrong. Creating your content is a lot of work but it is so worth it.
