Universal is one of the most popular theme parks in America, so their tickets are priced very well. You will find cheap Universal tickets almost anywhere at times, but this is not always the case!
Theme park attractions can get expensive, even more than other major amusement parks like Disneyland or Disney World. This is due to the fact that they are investing in longer experiences with many different things for people to explore and enjoy.

One of the biggest draws to Universal Studios is its theme park attractions. These are themed after specific movies, TV show episodes, or comic books that have become popular staples in our culture. Some examples include Jurassic Park, Spider-Man, Despicable Me, Men In Black, Saw, Alien, and so on!
Many of these rides are incredible immersive experiences. For example, there’s an attraction at Universal Studios called “The Amazing Adventures Of Spider-Man” which takes you through New York City as a friendly spider helping Peter Parker learn his web shooting skills. It’s totally believable and great fun!
These types of rides are very popular because they give your experience a sense of true immersion. As if you were actually part of the movie or television series yourself!
Another way Universal Studios uses their themes to attract guests is for their event tours. These typically focus on a particular area of the park, some special events, or both!
For instance, one tour covers all of the Horror areas of the park (like Psycho and Dead Silence), while another goes over just Diagon Alley (the setting of Harry Potter). Both are awesome ways to get a feel for the different settings and environments within the park!

Crowds and lines

Their standard theme park admission price is $109 per person with an additional cost of about $15 per child under two years old. These can usually be found at the gate when entering the park. The pass does not include rides or experiences but this is enough to hit the highlights such as Adventure Landing, Volcano, Tower of Terror, and More!.
More expensive VIP passes start at $199 per person which includes entry into the themed lands earlier (2 hours ahead of normal) and exclusive food and merchandise opportunities. Both types of passes get you closer to the attractions and better service, but they cost more due to the extra perks.
