How Much Is A Hollywood Bikini Wax
As we all know, celebrities are always sharing their beauty secrets with the world! They usually take some time to share what products they use for their hair or skin, but sometimes they also talk about other things like makeup or hairstyles.
One of the most popular looks for many self-proclaimed beach gurus is the bikini wax. Some people call it “bare belly” because that is what you see when your friend has a bikini wax done. Others just refer to it as a “Brazilian” which is kind of vague I guess?
Any way you look at it, a Brazilian wax is when someone gets rid of the entire top half of the hairs on the genital area. This is typically done using a razor or a tool designed for this purpose called a trimmer. Then either cream or hot wax is used to smooth out the rest of the areas that have hair.
Some people say that this removes the feeling of intimacy due to the loss of sensitivity caused by the shaved area, but others believe that it helps re-grow new layers of skin which makes sense since most women grow new skin around the genitals every year.
Either way, it is very common to find pictures and videos of beautiful women after their brazilian wax so there must be more than one opinion.
What products are used for a Hollywood wax?

When it comes to professional bikini waxing, there are two main types of tools used. These include use of either clippers or hot iron strips to remove all of the hair (including those that have never been able to be re-grown).
The most commonly used tool for women is probably the clamp style device. This gives you more control over how much hair you want to pull out and can sometimes even facilitate your own hairstyling after the process!
There are many brands of these devices for professionals to choose from. Some of the best known ones are Johnson & Jen’s Silk and Kiss Me Systems. Both of these companies offer very affordable versions as well as cost effective way to start practicing your bikini wax skills.
How long does a wax last?

The length of time it takes to see results depends mostly on how frequently you use the tool! This is particularly important if your hair growth has been very slow or even stopped due to weight loss.
A good way to ensure consistent quality results is to use the same hand (or device) every time for the same amount of time.
It’s best to use a cold cream style wax, which will melt at its own pace and will not burn or scorch the skin. For each pass, make sure all areas are completely coated and smooth. Let the gel dry for an adequate amount of time before rinsing off.
Some people recommend doing a quick “peeling” action several times while the glue is still moist, but we have never found this necessary. Some say it helps pull away any leftover bits from past waxings, but we have also never experienced this.
Are they painful?

As mentioned earlier, most professional hairstylists use a chemical compound to remove all of your hair- so yes, these are usually quite painful!
Most people agree that isohalones are the best way to achieve this, but there are various types of isohalones out there with different levels of effectiveness.
The first type of product is called alkaline hydrolysis which simply means water breaks down the hairs internal structure. More advanced versions contain chemicals such as thioglycolic acid (TGA) or lactic acid which work similarly to how acids break down bones- by eating away at the bone.
Both of these products need to be rinsed off thoroughly and can cause minor skin irritation for some people. This is very frustrating because it takes a lot longer to get rid of all of the hairs, and you have to do it more than once to really get them gone.
Another less effective method is using sodium bicarbonate powder which requires rubbing in and waiting for it to dry before washing off. This could also irritate your skin slightly, and may not go all of the hairs without leaving a white cast.
There are many ways to deal with this, the main one being alcohol! Using an adequate amount of regular old plain ol’ alcohol will quickly dissolve any leftover bits.
What should I wear?

When it comes to choosing whether or not to get bikini waxed, one of the first things you need to consider is what kind of look you want to achieve. You can choose very short hair for an edgy look, long hairs for something more casual, or perhaps even natural looking hair for a totally new take.
If you’re really nervous about getting some touch-ups done, there are many ways to cover up minor bumps and areas. Use your own concealer, light tan powder, and/or fake eyelashes in area that you feel self-conscious about. More advanced women may also use gel or spray tans to smooth over wet skin!
Some people believe that using a good sunblock under the wax will help prevent too much redness, but we have found that most ones contain enough UV protection to avoid this.
Is it expensive?

Having bikini waxes is not cheap, nor are they inexpensive to do yourself! Luckily, most providers offer very good service that does not cost a large amount of money. Some will even pair their services with another company so that you get additional discounts or coupons for both services.
By having a professional do it for you, this way of grooming can be quite affordable! Many people begin doing them themselves first before going in for a more elaborate process. By starting off with a less invasive procedure, it helps you feel comfortable using those products and/or tools on your own body.
Some things that may seem like “costly” procedures include getting warm water and using a quality razor to shave away any excess hair. For some women, investing in a good hand-held vacuum device is necessary to properly remove all of the loose hairs. The one thing about these devices is that there is a initial investment, but once used frequently, they tend to have a lower price per use than buying a new one every few months.
What effects will it have?

The most obvious effect is that of shape, altering the appearance of your bikini area. This can be done either completely or partially, depending on what look you want to achieve!
Many professional beauty salons offer different levels of waxing for men. Some only do hair removal while others also offer male gong (beach) balls which are used to remove excess hairs around the anus and penis.
These aren’t usually needed unless you happen to find some annoying hairs that need to be taken care off, but they are great to know about! If there’s any question, we recommend asking about them in the salon you intend to visit.
Does it dry my hair?

The price of a bikini wax depends on two main things: whether you want a partial or full wax, and what kind of skin you have. If your skin is very tight and/or thick, they may offer more elaborate services such as striping.
Partial waxes are usually done in a shorter time than a whole one, so their cost is typically less too. A good way to know if this is for you is by asking about it before receiving the service. Some providers will not put up false advertisements about the amount of time it takes to do a complete wax unless they really mean it!
A lot of people believe that a whole wax costs more because it takes longer- but the opposite is true! It can actually be much cheaper per minute to do a whole one rather than a partial one. This is due to the length of the tool needed to get all the same hairs removed.
There are many ways to make money doing hairstyling touches like bobs and other creative styles, so even if you aren’t totally professional yet, you could still start off doing some low budget tapers or trims and move onto pricier ones as you gain experience.
Is it good for your skin?

When people talk about bikini waxing, they usually mean to include both the hair and the edge. Some professionals also offer Brazilian waxes which are totally shaved.
There’s no clear consensus on whether or not having either of these done is truly worth the cost. Many women complain that their hair grows back thicker and faster than before, making it harder to enjoy swimsuits.
For some, it may even hurt more when they get out of the shower because there's less body coverage. Unfortunately, many beauty experts believe this is what makes it so popular!
Another risk with hairspraying is chemical burns or dry-skin reactions. Luckily, most providers use products that don't contain alcohol, but some still worry about potential health issues related to exposed skin.
