How Much Is Lightning Lane At Hollywood Studios

The term “value” in Disney is pretty broad, but we can narrow it down to one thing: money. How much does something cost? What are its value propositions? And how much do you have to spend to enjoy it?

At Walt Disney World, there’s one attraction that costs no money to enter - it’s free! That makes it hard to quantify what Disneyland’s Soarin’ or Universal’s Volcano Bay really cost to experience, doesn’t it?

With that said, let’s talk about lightning lane at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Is It Worth Your Time and Money?

That depends on your definition of “worth it.” For some people, waiting in line for an hour-long ride is worth their time, if not more than $10 per person. For others, paying top dollar for FastPass+ slots is.

For most people though, waiting in lines for attractions is a frustratingly recurring theme. Luckily, with technology and planning, you don’t need to head straight from the lightning lane to another activity or spend a ton of money to skip the slow parts of this attraction.

Second, there are concessions

With Disney passing out full price tickets for their new theme park, Lightning Rod Raceway, it is important to know how much money you will need to spend. Luckily, we have some information here!

First of all, remember that this article contains spoilers so make sure you have read the rest of this article before proceeding.

Lightning Road Raceway has two tracks: The Racing Circuit and Super Speedway. Each track can be visited individually or both together as one experience.

The Racing Circuit does not include any restaurants or food and beverage (“beverage” being defined as anything drinkable) facilities. You will have to bring your own snacks and drinks if you want to enjoy them while here. This is similar to Magic Kingdom where you will have to take care of yourself unless they offer bus service or something close by.

Third, there are gift shops

You can spend hours exploring every nook and cranny of this theme park! There are several different vendors in each area with new merchandise constantly being restocked. Many have organized tours where you get to know some of the brands well.

At lightning lane, they offer special trays and dishes that feature all of their logos and designs. These can be expensive depending on how much you buy but they are very cool looking!

There is also an outside food truck location right next door where you can grab lunch or snacks while still experiencing Disney.

Fourth, there are shows

There’s been a lot of talk about how expensive it is to visit Disney as of late with all of the new additions and changes to the parks. While these changes are definitely worth it for anyone that loves exploring the world of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, they can become very expensive if you don’t know what things cost.

If you’re visiting during off-season or spring break, your costs will be much more reasonable because there won’t be too many people around. However, if you’re traveling in high season or summer, staying at one of the most expensive hotels in Orlando can easily add to already large hotel bills.

Fifth, there are restaurants

While it may not be common knowledge, you can find some great eats inside of Disney’s theme parks! In fact, many guests don’t know about them because they're not very well-known outside their community or even within their community.

There are several reasons why this is the case but one big reason is that most people do not go to the park with an empty stomach. Most people visit right after arriving at the airport or home from work so they have only minutes to eat before they hit the rides again!

If you happen to arrive at the park hungry, you might want to grab something quick while supplies last as cost can add up quickly if you aren't careful. Fortunately, we've gathered information on your favorite food locations at Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and The Wonderful World Of Technicolor. Sixth, there are merchandise stores

At this time of writing, you can purchase every piece of Disney themed clothing in these three locations: Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, or The Shop at Disney Springs!

The best way to find out how much merchandise is at each location is by visiting their individual pages on Amazon. You can also check the price lists for each one directly!

Atmosphere-wise, I think it’s important to note that all of the above mentioned locations have a very unique feel. Each one seems to cater towards different types of people with various budgets.

Seventh, there are photo opportunities

There are many photo opps you can get while visiting Disney’s most popular theme parks! Many of these require advanced planning as they occur once a day or every few days.

But don’t worry, we have some great tips for you here!

For example, during your visit to The Happiest Place On Earth, you will notice that there is an elaborate lighting ceremony held just for guests traveling in the FastPass+ line for Toy Story Midway Mania.

This takes place twice per day (once in the morning and again in the evening) where all of the cars from the ride receive special attention before being let into the attraction.

A member of staff gathers around each vehicle with small white lights and sings a song while flashing the headlights and tailsights. During this time, several people take photos and group pictures within the car!

There are so many ways to enjoy this experience, so make sure to look out for it when touring the park.

Eighth, there are character greetings

At this year’s Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, there is one of the most expensive beverages offered. The price for an iced tea or watermelon slushy with mint leaf is actually two dollars more than what some people may think.

Eighth, there are character meet-and-greets where you can spend money to take pictures next to famous Disney characters such as Chip and Dale, Pooh, Tigger, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Captain America, Iron Man, Frozen‘s Elsa and Anna, Phineas and Ferb, Toy Story Characters, and others.

Ninth, there are rides you can take

There are nine major ride attractions you will encounter while exploring The Haunted Mansion at Disney’s Magic Kingdom, Universal Orlando, or any of the other immersive themed environments that make up this genre.

The first two are considered thrill rides as they contain some level of acceleration and potentially danger if not done in the right way. These experiences typically score higher than average on user ratings websites like Amazon and TripAdvisor.

Then there are six so-called dark rides which do not feature an exit unless you pay to spend more time inside them, usually costing around $15 for one entry.

And finally, we have three interactive rides where guests actively participate in various ways. Typically, these require you to spend money in their theme, making it worth your hard earned cash. Examples include riding Space Mountain many times, taking oversize gondolas through Epcot’s Soarin’, or going down the roller coaster track on Expedition Everest.
