This week we take a look at how old some of your favorite TV show’s stars are! Some come with very young children, while others are just starting to enter their golden years. All of these actors have shown an impressive amount of dedication and passion for their craft since they were young teens.

Many became famous for playing characters that had much older parents than them, showing off their acting skills as adults. Others made it in our industry by being pioneers of diversity in media. They broke down barriers and represented people who are not typically seen in television.

We will be talking about each actor’s age during different times in their career as well as what stage of life they are currently in. Let’s dive in!

Cardi may refer to herself using the N-word, but she is not any kind of black person. She uses this word frequently in her songs and videos so it seems like she has no issues identifying it. As you can probably tell from her song lyrics, Cardi does not agree and considers it hurtful.

She even called out its users on Twitter after one posted a picture using the term. In response to that tweet, several other celebrities tweeted pictures or statements supporting her position.

History of television

The term “television” has evolved quite a bit since its inception in 1925. Back then, televisions were mostly used for entertainment purposes; watching an episode of Gone With The Wind or The Godfather was your main source of distraction.

These early TVs did not have screens that extended beyond the TV set itself - they were flat panels with only enough space to show one thing at a time. Technology wasn’t quite advanced enough to display more than this, so there weren’t too many possibilities when it came to designing how the device would be used.

That all changed in 1939, when radio technology was adapted for use as a fully functioning screen. Since then, we've got ever-larger, sharper, and better designed screens along with wider applications for them. It is very possible to connect most newer TVs directly to another screen such as a computer, tablet, or smartphone!

This article will talk about some fun factoids related to how old Hollywood is on the popular series, Queen Sutter.

Origins of the term Hollywood

The word "hollywood" comes from the Spanish word holgram, which means “holy” or “sacred.” This was because early Europeans referred to California as la Santa Cruz de Océanos (the Holy Cross of Seas). They also referred to it as el Santuario (the Sanctuary) or El Aguas Buenas (the Good Waters), due to their belief that drinking water would cure illnesses and diseases.

In 1752, Sebastián Gálvez borrowed the name for his proposed settlement in present-day Los Angeles. He later rebranded it Nuestra Senora del Rosario de Porciúncula, after St. Rose of Perpetual Help. In fact, before white settlers moved into this area they didn't even know there were any large bodies of fresh water!

The word stuck and has been used ever since to refer to this new city that sprang up along the coast. It wasn't until the 1920s that people started using it outside of California, however. That's when movie moguls adopted the term and applied it to films made in southern California - and eventually beyond.

The first major motion pictures

Many people’s perception of Hollywood is that it consists only of beautiful, well-groomed individuals with perfect hair and makeup attending lavish events to celebrate a new movie or TV show coming out.

This isn’t very accurate, however.

Hollywood has been around for quite some time. Some say even before the invention of film! In fact, many consider the early years to be the true golden age of Hollywood because they claim things like actors speaking off screen and stories being told by word of mouth were much more important than media coverage today.

But what about now? What are the top industries in terms of money earned per employee these days? And how old is this industry really?

We looked into both questions by breaking down the top five earners at Netflix, Amazon, Coca Cola, Apple, and Disney as an average of just under 30 employees per company. This gave us an average earnings per employee across all five companies which we then divided by their reported ages to get our estimated “age” of each company.

After doing so, we found that the oldest company in this list was actually Microsoft who officially became an employer in 1982…but they would have still counted towards our calculations since they started having workers in 1983.

The golden age of Hollywood

During the so-called Golden Age of Hollywood, filmmakers were creating some of the greatest stories ever told by capturing real life experiences in their movies. These films are now considered classics that still hold up with modern audiences. They also paved way for many other great films to come after.

The term “golden era” is typically used to describe an eight or nine year period during which time several studios dominated the box office. This includes things like Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, Get Out, among others. A lot of these films feature strong narratives, rich characters, and attention to detail.

While not every movie made during this period was a masterpiece, they all had something going for them. Some would even go onto have lasting impacts outside of just film.

Captain America: The First Avenger inspired Steve Rogers to don his patriotic suit as Marvel’s lead superhero. Wonder Woman proved that women can be powerful and take charge, and got people talking about gender roles. Get Out showed us what happens when you make small talk with a strange man while walking home alone at night, and it turned out very badly.

These stories resonated deeply with audience members back then, and still do today. Because we admire what those stories accomplished in telling a story, we learn from them.

The decline of Hollywood

As we grow older, we begin to see our youth disappear around us. This is particularly true in the movie industry where people are constantly being replaced by new recruits. With each passing year, it becomes harder to find young professionals that want to spend their time working in an atmosphere filled with distractions and stressors.

The availability of advanced technology has allowed for constant communication which creates a stressful environment for those without technology as a tool. At the same time, there’s a growing demand for intelligent products and services which means more money for business owners who already have enough on their plates.

It becomes increasingly difficult to recruit individuals your own age or younger than you that are willing to work under such conditions. Professionals are leaving the entertainment industry due to just how busy they become once they enter the workplace.

This is bad news for anyone still trying to break into show business since most positions require at least some experience. It also can be discouraging if you're looking to stay in this field for a while, especially now that most jobs are not guaranteed to last.

Fortunately, all is not lost! There are several ways to get yourself out of the film/TV production game if you've got a budget and a plan. Here's what you should do next...

Modern day Hollywood

Over the past century, Hollywood has gone through many different stages. There are still some major components to the movie making process that have remained mostly the same.

But what about all of these new additions? What about this technology here or that camera there? Or how about all of those fancy light gels you see in movies?

These are just examples of things that we now take for granted as part of the film-making process.

Movie studios

The term “studio system” was coined in 1908 when film mogul Carl Laemmle founded his own company, Universal Pictures. Since then, almost every major movie studio has been established as part of this model.

The main feature of the studio system is that it gives large corporations with money to make movies a common goal. This way, they work together to produce content people want to watch.

There are also benefits for smaller companies using the studio’s services. By being under one roof, they get resources like marketing and publicity help from the bigger firm.

And because these big firms are working closely with each other, there is an open door policy for anyone looking to be involved in making films. Everyone knows what everyone else is doing, which helps create a supportive environment.

However, while this system works well now, it didn’t always!

The classic studio system collapsed in the 1980s and 1990s, when two of the biggest names in filmmaking - Paramount and Disney - broke away to form their own independent companies.

Since then, we haven’t seen another, unified structure where all major movie production houses exist under one name.

TV studios

The term “studio system” was first coined in 1931 when film mogul Darryl F. Zanuck, then head of Fox Studios, announced that his company would no longer accept assignments from other producers unless they were under their own studio banner.

He called this new policy the “Studio System.” It allowed for more consistent production values and creative control, as well as better exposure for filmmakers.

Prior to this shift, there was little standardization across different movie brands, which made it difficult to compare one feature length film with another. Some had very professional looking movies while others did not.

Since most major studios now use the Studio System, you can expect higher quality films than before. This is due to having access to additional resources and funding.

There are also benefits for writers. Since scripts are typically approved by several people, including executives, writing staff members have easier access to stories and themes. Plus, learning about the process can be helpful for aspiring screenwriters.
