With New Year’s Day just around the corner, many people will be heading out to celebrate or spend time with family. Most of these individuals will probably stay in the area for at least one more day so they can take full advantage of all that there is to do at Universal Orlando Resort and beyond!

While most people are aware of what fun things there are to see and experiences to have at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Diagon Alley, it is easy to forget how much else there is to offer at Universal Orlando. This article will talk you through some of the best ways to enjoy the resort even after your visit to WDW ends.

There are five themed areas

Each area is designed to appeal to different types of people, offering experiences that focus more on entertainment or education. And while some may feel that they have “seen it all” after exploring several areas, there’s always something new to learn!

The main theme at Universal Studios Hollywood is celebrating life, expression, and the totality of human experience through art and media. Artistic styles and genres vary from area to area, but everything you will see has been chosen for its significance in defining who we are as humans.

You will not find any rides here - only attractions. This was intentional because guests expect a high level of quality experiences when traveling for entertainment. You will instead find immersive environments where the stories, aesthetics, and concepts offer an enriching glimpse into the human condition.

There are no hard and fast rules about how many times you should visit a park like this, so do what feels right for you.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

As mentioned earlier, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is an immersive experience that does not have anything close to a direct link to Hogwarts or the wizarding world as we know it.

However, there are some major settings and themes linked to the franchise. For example, both Hogsmeade Village and Diagon Alley were inspired by Renaissance-era cities in Italy and Spain.

Hogwarts was also designed with inspiration from England’s famous English country estates like Castle Dracula in Transylvania.

The main characters include favorites such as Professor Dumbledore, Hagrid, Ron Weasley, and even Voldemort himself!

While the setting may be entirely fictional, many true stories and events have been incorporated into the theme of the rides and attractions. These include references to actual places, people, and events in the Harry Potter books and films.

The Lost World of Dinosaurs

As we continue to explore Universal’s theme park, one can’t help but be inspired by all that nature has to offer us. There are so many ways to connect with the natural world around us and learn from it!

At The Lost World of Jurassic Park, guests get an in-depth look at some of the most incredible creatures ever to have lived on this planet. They explore how these majestic beings interacted with each other and influence modern day ecology.

The attraction is broken up into three sections or “lands.” Each land focuses on a different era of dinosaur evolution, giving you a sense of what they might have been like as they roam the earth today.

For example, in the Land of Giants, you will encounter plant eaters such as sauropods, which were over twenty meters (twenty feet) tall! These giants would also trek across plains looking for food and water before tiring out near their next destination.

In the Adventureland section, you will meet carnivores such as tyrannosaurids, which were heavily muscled to enable them to pin down and swallow prey. Such animals may not seem scary, but once you see their size, you understand just how deadly they truly are.

And then there are the ichthyosaurs, marine reptiles who evolved flippers instead of paddles to propel themselves through the water.

The Exquisite Corpse Museum

Located in the back of the park, The Exhibitionist Museum is an interactive experience where you get to explore how people are shaped by their surroundings and environments. Here, you’ll find artifacts and displays that show different sides of individuals or groups influenced by their surrounding area.

The most well-known exhibit here is probably one called “The Reflection”. You can walk up to this reflection wall and use your own face as a template for creating your own look. Add color and shape with some decorations or take away parts depending on what looks best for you!

Another interesting display is something they refer to as the “Exquisite Corpse Museum”. In this, two separate groups create designs simultaneously until a final design emerges.

One person creates a head, another makes a body, and so forth until someone else adds the feet and everything comes together at the end. This way, everyone contributes slightly differently aspects of the design, giving it its finished product.

The Amityville Horror

In 1980, a family moved into their house in Londonderry, New York. They reported that they had experienced paranormal activity for years, but it became more frequent and dramatic after they purchased the home.

The most common experiences were hearing noises or voices coming from different rooms of the house at night, feeling heavy pressure to make a specific decision, and experiencing cold feelings when you’re in certain areas.

When the parents asked what happened, some people said there was an old well next door which seems to have given off negative energy. Some say this is where all of the bad luck came from for the area. Others claim it is just a myth made up to keep kids interested in geography.

Whatever the reason may be, many locals believe the house has a lot of energy now due to its history. Many reports state that since then, something weird happens every week!

It’s important to note that while some stories are probably true, none of them can be confirmed as fact until someone actually goes inside and investigates.

So, if you really want to experience a haunted house, try visiting Universal Studios instead! You’ll find out almost identical things happen throughout the world, and it will totally change your perception about ghostly phenomena.

The Simpsons

The show follows the lives of the Simpson family; Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie. Each character is completely different and interesting and it is always entertaining to watch them interact with each other.

Overall, The Simpsons is an extremely popular comedy that has spawned two movie adaptations as well as an animated TV show! They are very successful because they make their audience laugh consistently and thoroughly.

There are several reasons why people enjoy watching The Simpsons at home or through a streaming service like Netflix. Some of these include: excellent writing, funny scenes throughout all episodes, lots of funny moments, great voice acting, and the fact that you can never get enough jokes.

With such a packed lineup of entertainment at Universal Studios, there is sure to be something for everyone to watch and enjoy.

The most recent addition to the collection is Shrek 4D, which opened in May of this year! This ride is designed for very young kids (ages 3-6 years old). They can choose whether they want to see the movie or watch as the characters interact with each other.

The attraction features special effects such as water drops that shoot out from every surface and plastic slime that covers you. It also includes some small toys that are given away at the end.

There are no scary parts on this ride, but it is interesting to look around while watching the film. Since it is interactive, children will be able to talk to the characters and ask them questions if they so desire.
