How To Make An Animated Movie As A Kid
Animations have always fascinated people, from ancient times up until today. There are many ways to make your own animations! This article will go into detail about some of the easier ways to create yours if you’re a beginner or just looking to refresh your skills.
There are so many different types of animation styles- short stories, action scenes, cartoons, etc. No matter what kind of movie you want to make, there is a way to do it! The easiest type of animation to learn is something called Flash Animation.
With Flash, you can create your movie in any length and format that you desire. You can also use other free or paid software such as Photoshop, Indesign, or After Effects to add onto your film. These additional programs allow you to edit pictures and apply textures to your settings.
This article will talk more about making flash movies and how to start creating your first one. If you would like to see samples of my work, feel free to check me out on social media! I update my website regularly with new videos, articles, and things.
Buy equipment

As mentioned earlier, you do not need special software or expensive gear to make beautiful animations! There are many free resources that can help you get started making your first movie. Many of these tools have easy enough settings that even kids could use them to create something incredible.
Some of the most common softwares used for creating animated movies include Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, and Indesign. All three of these applications cost around $20-30 per individual which is quite affordable.
There are also a variety of online animation programs like Animator Pro or Flash (the latter being very popular) that anyone with a computer and internet access can use. These apps are free to download and start using, but require some kind of account to be logged into so that you can upload and share what you made.
We will go over all of these in more detail in future lessons! For now though, just pick one out and try it out! No matter what program you choose, there are still ways to learn how to animate even if you never really advanced beyond the basics.
Practice filming

A movie is more than just shooting some scenes back-to-back, it’s about creating a story through editing. This means you should spend time practicing your shot and cutting together different scenarios to make them work.
The hardest part of making an animated film is actually writing the script! If you can’t write well then what hope do you have for the rest of the production?
You need to be able to tell a good story! Luckily, there are many ways to learn how to write a decent screenplay. All of these can help you get into the writing business. Some of the best way to learn how to write a screenplay include using online free courses, talking to writers in your area, and even taking creative writing classes at university or community centers.
After that, the next step would be to take some basic screenwriting courses so you know the basics of storytelling. These could be via Udemy, YouTube, or other websites and resources.
Make a movie theme

As mentioned before, making your first animated film is less about what you’re filming and more about how you’re editing it! This can be tricky at times though since many beginner filmmakers often feel that they have to include shots in their movies that are very elaborate or fancy.
That’s fine if you know how to take good pictures but going into your first movie as a filmmaker should be focused on creating a story first! Your viewers will probably not care too much about the camera angle or light source unless there is a narrative reason for it.
Instead, think about themes and stories that you want to tell with your movie. For example, maybe you would like to make a movie about nature. You could use simple low-angle lens filters to create some interesting effects.
Start making the movie

One of the greatest things you can do is make your own movies! It’s super easy to start, there are free software programs that make it very simple, and then you can easily edit them in more advanced software or use a professional editing program.
There are many ways to learn how to make a movie, but one of my favorite starting points for people who want to keep it casual is using YouTube.
By creating our own movie, we can add all sorts of styles and features to it so that it looks close to professionally made films. Plus, learning about filming and editing will give you knowledge that you can apply to other areas of life.
Here are some tips to help you begin making animated movies at a beginner level.
Enlist friends

As we already mentioned, making your first movie is definitely not for novice filmmakers! If you are ever struggling to make your film or want someone else’s opinion, invite some of your close friends over to watch it.
Most kids have fun watching animated movies, so if anyone you know enjoys them, they can probably help you get through the process.
Ask around about tips and tricks in order to save money while filming too! They may even offer helpful suggestions for things like camera settings and gadgets.
Furthermore, many people enjoy giving their opinions on the movie after it has been finished. You could ask whether anything was good or bad, what parts were boring or exciting, and why there were or weren’t certain shots.
Movie studios also hire professionals to do things such as grading films, editing videos, and designing logos and branding materials, so asking around about those positions might be another way to find support along this line.
Find an audience

As mentioned earlier, starting with something you love is the best way to get into making your own movies! If you are passionate about movie-making then start creating videos now by experimenting in one of these areas.
You can make a movie using just the computer software such as Adobe Photoshop or The GIMP, YouTube, Facebook, and other free video sharing sites, or paid services like Amazon’s film tool.
There are many ways to find an audience for your creative work, so don’t feel that you have to spend lots of money to spread your creativity. You will probably still need to earn enough income to cover your costs though!
Finding an audience does not mean buying expensive equipment or paying big fees, there are plenty of ways to do this at no cost. These could be via social media, word of mouth, or even advertising online.
Plan promotional materials

After you have designed your movie, it is time to start promoting it! While some people feel that starting with a full length film is best, I believe creating an animated short first will help you gain more experience while also preparing you for longer films down the road.
There are many ways to promote your movie, from putting up posters, posting about it online, and even going directly to other companies to ask them if they can use any part of it.
Some of the most common ways to market an animated movie include making feature articles or press releases, having a contest, hosting a party, or doing a screening. All of these things give your movie exposure which may lead to more opportunities.
Planning and organizing all of these takes time so do not rush into it unless you have done this before.
Write a script

An aspiring filmmaker can start by writing a screenplay. There are many great resources available to help you write your movie script, from free websites to paid software.
All of these tools have similar features that make it easy to create a story and add in some special effects.
The hardest part is probably deciding how to begin writing! If you want to get into making movies, there’s no reason to be nervous or shy about writing.
