How To Qualify For Hollywood Walk Of Fame
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has an application process that allows you to apply as a nominee or potential recipient. You can find their eligibility guidelines here, but there is one major thing missing from those guidelines - how to get started!
That’s where we come in. Here are all the things you need to know about becoming a candidate, from who can help design your plaque to tips for getting more votes.
Prepare a resume

If you’re thinking about applying as an actor, then you should know that there is already a process in place to get your foot in the door. The professional organization for actors is called AIFA (The Association of Professional Actor Training). They have put together some resources to help aspiring artists gain exposure. One of these tools is what they refer to as “The Work-Videography Project.”
This project was designed to assist professionals and amateur performers in creating their own unique talent portfolio. As such, it includes all types of videos - from acting demos to music performances to answering questions and comments on social media. All of this can be organized into one playlist to create your portfolio.
Acting classes are also very popular, so The Work-videography Project has a section dedicated to those as well. There are many online courses available through various platforms like Udemy and YouTube.
Create a website

After you create your Instagram account, now is time to start thinking about what kind of content you want to develop and grow your audience with. You can also begin developing your YouTube channel at this stage by creating Vlogs (video blogs) or doing live stream videos!
Next, it’s time to pick an appropriate domain name and hosting package for your site. Make sure they are able to handle the amount of traffic you will be getting so that your site does not crash due to too much activity!
Your domain name should tell people something about who you are as a person or business - try and use natural keywords to ensure people find you easily. For example, mydomainname.com would be bad because no one really searches for ‘mydominanename’. Try coming up with an interesting keyword or two to make yours more accessible.
Prepare promotional materials

The next step in how to qualify for the Hollywood Walk of Fame is to prepare your promotional material. This includes business cards, flyers, posters, and anything that would lead people to know about you and what you do.
Start gathering all of these items now so that you are not rushing to meet the acceptance deadline!
Make sure to include your name, contact information, and link to your website or social media pages. If possible, include some pictures of yourself to show off your talent.
You can also create an account at www.wgatlas.com to gain more exposure and connect with other professionals in the entertainment field.
Get your movie or TV show listed in TV shows or movies that should be on the list

The next step is to get your show, film, or series added to this list! You can do so by creating an account at movieticketsonline.com. Once you have an account, then you can add your show to their website.
In order to make sure your show gets considered, you must include as many details as possible. This includes adding pictures and videos, giving credit where it’s due, etc. Make sure to take time to fill out all of the forms completely!
Movielogcameras.net already has some of these listings, but not all of them.
Make a list of famous people that should be on the list

The next thing you will want to do is make a list of all the well known celebrities, or at least most prominent individuals in your life. These can include anyone from friends, family, coworkers, and even media members you look up to consistently.
It’s not only important to recognize their significant achievements, but also what they have contributed to our society through activism, charity work, or just plain entertainment value. They may even inspire you to achieve more than they did!
By having a strong understanding of how influential these people are, you will know if it is enough to simply like them on social media to qualify. Or if donating one dollar to their favorite cause is enough to get you into the program.
There is no wrong way to spend your time, so don’t feel like you need to do something else while you're on this website. You deserve to enjoy yourself after spending hours looking up successful candidates.
Appeal your placement on the list

The way you qualify as an honorary member of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is by donating or doing something significant that shows contributions in the field of entertainment, which can be anything from creating or writing a popular show, movie, or video game to producing a television program or hosting a talk show.
By their very nature, celebrities are known for being well-known, so people who know them may recognize them from watching their show, listening to their music, or reading about them in the media.
As such, they’re frequently recognized for their contribution to the art form of entertainment, so they get a place in the Hollywood Historic Walking Tour in addition to their more formal honorifics.
That’s why members of the organization like Angelina Jolie and Robert Downey Jr., two prominent actors with many fans, have been given space in the historic register.
Receive your certificate

After you have been nominated, they will send you an email confirming it. If you are given a nomination time, you should be able to access this information via their website or mobile app.
They will also notify you when you need to pick up your award at a specific location. This is very important as there may not be any parking nearby!
If you do not show up for your award, other people who were waiting can take over. It is best to confirm that you will be present ahead of time!
Some people believe that attending the event is optional. This is not true, even if you were invited as a guest. You must attend in order to receive credit for doing so.
Keep your certificate in a protective pouch

After you have received your nomination, it is time to start preparing!
First, make sure to keep your Certificate of Nomination somewhere safe so that you do not lose it or forget what it says. You can put it in your wallet, purse, locker, or safety deposit box.
It is also important to remember where you store this piece of paper as it may be scanned at any time. Make sure it is protected enough from being lost, damaged, or stolen.
Second, find an appropriate place to display it. If you work in an office or clinic, then your employer’s human resources department or art gallery may be able to help you mount it onto a wall or frame.
If there are no such facilities available, try to visit a local bank or credit union to see if they will let you hang it on their property.
