Mr Chow Hollywood Menu

Addison Smith

As we grow older, our taste in food changes. We no longer enjoy eating only meat and potatoes, nor do we want to try every new vegetarian or vegan option that comes along.

At times, we get tired of trying all of the same foods over and over again as well.

The trick is finding dishes that appeal to your palate, whether they be salty, sour, sweet, spicy, or plain!

Add some flavor to the menu with these eight recipes! They will not be familiar to everyone, but they are sure to impress those who know them.

These culinary creations include Fried Chicken, Macaroni And Cheese, and Pork Chops With Gravy.

Chicken and Waffles

The ultimate dish in America is chicken and waffles, and while there are several recipes for this combination, one restaurant has perfected their version to such an extent that it is almost impossible to find anywhere else!

Chick-fil-A was opened in June of 1965 by Truett Cathey with the goal of creating a delicious menu item. He experimented with different breads and toppings before settling on sweet potato waffle fries as the perfect vehicle for his chicken.

Since then, the chain has become well known for their classic dishes like the Chick-fil-A One Bowl Breakfast which includes hash browns, bacon, sausage, toast, eggs and your choice of meat or cereal.

Crab Rangoon

This is one of my favorite dishes at The Commons, Restaurant Jonathan Waxler has made it into his menu here in Los Angeles! He calls this crab dish “crab rangoon” which I believe comes from the Asian cuisine. It consists of crispy rice noodles with white meat crab mixed in along with some spicy sriracha mayonnaise and pickled carrots and cucumbers.

I would have to say that this recipe was inspired by the classic crab rangoon back home where they use egg roll wrappers as the noodle shape and mix in cream cheese for the sauce. But instead, he uses fresh wheat pasta!

Overall flavor and taste - these ingredients all work together really well in creating an amazing experience. Not only does each ingredient stand out in its own right, but everything compliments the others and makes for a great tasting plate overall.

Beef and Broccoli

There is something so perfect about beef and broccoli. It is probably one of my top favorite dishes in all of cooking! The tangy flavor combination makes for some delicious eating.

The sauce that goes with it is another important factor to make or break this recipe. Too much sour cream can actually take away from the taste, which may be why some recipes call for plain white rice instead of broccolini cooked down in the mixture.

Too many people add olive oil to the sauce at the end as well, which also removes part of the taste.

Prawn Toast

There is something very special about prawn toast. It can be either sweet or savoury, hot or cold, broiled or toasted. And it always tastes good!

Most people know what prawn toast looks like - those crispy bread squares with some kind of seafood in them. But how do you make this dish? What types of fish work best as toppings?

In this article we will go over all the different ways to prepare prawn toast. From making your own at home to buying already made ones so that you can customize them, we will talk about both.

We will also discuss which type of fish works well for which recipes. For example, salmon makes a great topping for breakfast dishes such as Smoked Salmon French Toasts or Creamy Eggs and Salmon on Toast.

Chicken Chow Mein

The term chicken chow mein comes from China where they make it with wide, thin noodles that are typically mixed into dishes with stir-fry vegetables and dry seasonings.

In America, we sometimes call these Chinese noodle rolls or just chow mien because they are usually served up as a meal in themselves!

The classic way to eat this dish is by starting with an ingredient such as rice or potatoes as a base, then adding cooked chicken, spring onions (scallions), mushrooms, dried seaweed, and finally the chow mein mix which includes soy sauce, chili garlic sauce, black pepper, and sesame oil.

It is important to remember to rinse your noodles under water after each stage to remove excess fat or ingredients.

Crispy Eggplant

When I was growing up, my mom would make eggplant parm for us almost every weekend! She would roast it in olive oil until it was soft and then mash it with her hands or use a fork to mix in all of our favorite toppings like tomato sauce, pizza sauce, and garlic butter.

These recipes are some of my favorites because they’re easy and delicious, and can be done in lots of different ways depending on how much time you have. My mom always cooked ahead and stored the leftovers in an oven-proof container so that she could cook them later when we had time.

She is a great chef, and teaching me about cooking wasn't only practical, but it inspired me to learn more myself. Now that I am a professional food blogger, she is one of my biggest supporters and friends! - Sarah Vozella

We've got three tips here - start with white rice, don't shake the pan too vigorously while boiling, and don't worry about having completely dried grains! These tricks will ensure perfect rice every time.

Green Mango Salad

This lovely salad was created by Chef Christina Nguyen, of The Plant Power House in Santa Monica. It is also known as “GMO free” or even just plain old green salad!

It contains fresh spinach, spring mix lettuce, cucumber, mango, red bell pepper, avocado and cilantro all dripped with olive oil and lemon. To make it more interesting, she adds walnuts and toasted pistachios which are mixed into the salad at the last minute.

This dessert-like side can be served warm or cold and makes for an excellent lunch box item since you don't have to worry about keeping it refrigerated.

Classic Eggrolls

In Chinese cuisine, egg rolls are not just for lunch or dinner; they can be snacks or meals themselves! An egg roll that has been filled with meat or vegetables and wrapped in rice paper is called an egg noodle.

The classic way to make egg noodles is by using thin strips of spring wheat pasta as the wrapping material and cooking it either under a broiler or in a pan drizzled with oil. When done, the wrapper will brown slightly and the filling will warm through and taste delicious.

Many people associate egg rolls only with China but they were actually invented in America! A California restaurant owner originally made them as fast food dishes so they could be on hand if someone wanted something quick and healthy after work or before school.
