O Entertainment Logo 1998
In May of 2018, it was announced that the owner of YourTVNetwork (also known as TIN), Turner Broadcasting System, would be closing down their streaming service at the end of the month. This left many streamers high and dry with no place to go for your daily fix of anime!
Not only did this affect casual viewers who wanted to watch some anime but also die-hard fans who use the app to view all of there favorites series and movies as well.
Luckily, there are several other companies out there which offer similar services so if YouTV’s closure is something you feel is too expensive, there are alternatives. These new apps have become very popular due to their low costed subscriptions and easy access.
The most common ones being Animeshaper, Funimation, and Anime Planet. All three of these sites have fully animated episodes and extended features such as creating an account, saving individual videos, and even submitting comments or reviews.
Their similarities stop here though, depending on how much money you want to spend each site offers different levels of membership. With Anime Planet, you can become a premium member for free which gives you more options than the basic memberships.
Funimation has two types of plans, one being free and the other being Funimationsubscription. For those who prefer having almost full control over what they watch, the subscription plan is available.
K-Pop and O Entertainment

In early 2000, South Korea’s first ever major success was founded in an unexpected place. An ambitious music producer named Lee Soo Hyun had his eye on America as he prepared to launch his new project. While there, he heard about another successful Korean group that needed help promoting their next album, and asked if they would be willing to work with him instead.
The members of 2PM were skeptical at first. They all lived relatively modest lifestyles back home in Seoul, so asking for money or even a free plane ticket wasn’t something easily done. But after thinking it over, they decided to give it a try anyway - and what happened next changed both their lives forever.
After filming a few promotional videos together, 2PM became huge overnight sensations in Japan and later China. Their popularity quickly spread across Asia and into other parts of the world, leading to them breaking through not just in Korea but also internationally.
And though they have since gone on to achieve much greater things than simply being famous, many credit their time spent working with Lee Soo Hyun for helping get them where they are today.
Notable artists under O Entertainment

One of the biggest criticisms that OG rappers have is how their lyrics seem focused more on telling people off rather than offering up insightful messages or encouraging others to look at life differently. This often includes songs with very vulgar content as well.
This was not always the case for some of these artists. For example, some may remember 2007 when rapper B-Real (or Bun B) released his song “The Show Goes On” about the death of fellow artist Sean ‘Diddy’ Carter.
B-Real uses his music to encourage other aspiring musicians to keep going after significant losses in life. He even encourages those who feel like they are no longer talented to find something else they are passionate about and stick to it!
This can be done by practicing everyday or finding an outside source of inspiration.
Specific artists under O Entertainment

While not as well-known as some of its contemporaries, O Entertainment still has their share of loyal fans. Some of these brands include:
1) Epik High - company founder Paul founded this hip hop group in South Korea before moving to Canada where they have since become popular worldwide.
2) Tablo - rapper Paul started his career with O Entertainment’s music division. He is most known for collaborating with TLO (Taylor Loughler), an American producer who helped shape his style as a musician.
3) Taeyeon - Singer CJ signed with O Entertainment after she was discovered online by one of their producers. She now boasts over 100 million views on YouTube!
4) Bizzy - member of Block B debuted here under the stage name Lee Juck. Since then he has gone onto bigger things, including collaborations with other members of OENITY.
Popular songs under O Entertainment
One of South Korea’s most recognizable brands is its music. Many Korean people can sing almost every line of any song that was ever made or is still in production today. This is due to two things: First, the country has an extremely large number of musical talent. Almost anyone you meet could potentially be a professional musician at some level.
Second, the media heavily markets this fact by having lots of singing competitions. There are many different types of competition, but their common theme is to have as much entertainment value as possible!
These contests usually focus on making or listening to music, so it’s not too surprising to see contestants bring their own material into the contest. More often than not though, they will perform a popular karaoke or song from another source.
This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it does mean that these other sources get attributed to whatever artist or group sponsored the contest. For example, if Taylor Swift sponsors a singing contest, then her name gets attached to the event even if she didn’t officially endorse it.
This isn’t always obvious, however. If someone sings a very famous song, like The Beatles’ I Saw Her Standing Alone, then it becomes clear who wrote the lyrics and who recorded the vocals. In this case, it’s Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.
Why did O Entertainment end?

In early 2016, reports began to spread around the internet that TSM was looking into rebranding their main brand as “OU or O” due to trademark issues with the name Team Spirit (TS) in Europe.
This got many people excited for one reason: The word “O” is an easy way to spell “OT!” which is the most popularly used acronym of the team name. This would make it easier to type out on forums, chat apps, and social media platforms.
However, this excitement quickly died down when no official announcements were made about what would happen next. Many thought that the company had given up hope and closed down completely.
It wasn’t until August 31st, however, that we received our first look at what will be replacing TS as the organization’s new branding.
We received the following tweet announcing the new logo and color scheme:
The new O Entertainment logo features three separate shapes that combine together to form the letter “o.” Each shape represents a different part of the original Team Spirit logo - the circle represents Outcast, the square represents Powerhouse, and the triangle represents Freedom. All three parts come together to create the final o, representing the Organization.
What was the significance of the logo?

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) does not officially recognize any performing arts as an official event, but they have made exceptions for music. Music is one of the 10 sports that can be considered by a country to participate in at the Summer Olympics.
Olympic committees allow each participating nation to pick their own events. Some choose to perform a piece of music while other nations may choose to do something more energetic like dance or lip sync.
The IOC’s stance on this is that it is simply too difficult to regulate performances and time limits. Technically, there are no rules against singing or dancing, so some countries choose to promote such activities as part of their event.
Does the logo mean anything else?

As discussed earlier, the word ‘O’ in The Office of the Mayor is not an intentional part of the logo. It was instead chosen as a way to represent the word ‘office’ since it contains both letters (OO) and does not contain spaces or punctuation.
However, this raises another important question: what does the circle with the winking eye symbolize? Many people have made assumptions about what it represents, but none are correct!
The winking-eye motif has several different meanings depending on which culture it comes from. In some cultures, it means success and prosperity while in others it means death, destruction, or something very sinister.
What are some other important dates in O Entertainment history?

In May of 1998, just one month after announcing that they would be disbanding, TVXQ! announced their final show as members. It was held at Olympic Gymnastics Arena in Seoul, South Korea on October 26th.
It had been almost six years since Taeyang made his debut with them back in June of 2002 as a member and he shared his thoughts about this event with us. He said it felt like “the end” because there were no more opportunities to perform together as a group.
He also mentioned how difficult it was for him to say good-bye to these fans who supported both him and Xiumin throughout all five of their albums and two world tours. He expressed gratitude for having experienced such an honor and celebration of his career.
After the event, each individual left the company they had performed under and started new careers. Some stayed very close to the organization while others moved onto different projects or retired altogether.
But what most people don’t realize is that not only did TVXQ go out with a bang, but they also created something special that will last forever; the legacy of the Korean language music genre called Kpop.
