The venue now features almost three miles of trails for hiking and running. There are also over 30 tennis courts, a swimming pool, and several restaurants within walking distance.

Find the Chinese Theater
The Chinese theater is one of the most famous movie theaters in America. It was built in 1927 as an art deco building with 2000 seats, making it one of the largest movie theatres at that time!
In its early years, it was mostly known for being the place where actress Gloria Swanson got divorced in 1920’s silent film classic The Blonde Vampire.

The theatre has been converted into a museum full of artifacts and decorations related to cinema. Many of these items have come from or inspired new designs for other buildings, sets, or props used during filming.
These include things like the lobby fountain, which has become a symbol of water fountains across the world; the red velvet seat cushions, now seen in many high-end cinemas around the globe; and the large screen TV, which has influenced big screen sizes worldwide.
Find the Grauman's Chinese Theater
The famous theater in LA that is shaped like an amphitheater with its entrances facing the street was designed by artist Louis Grünenberg back in 1927. Grünenberg built his career creating elaborate sets for stage productions, which he then photographed for use in advertising.
He took inspiration from Ancient Rome to design this set where it’s clear people loved entertainment and spending lots of time watching shows.
Grünenberg also incorporated some clever photoshopping into his advertisements.
Find the Roxy Theater
The Roxy is one of Los Angeles’s most iconic movie theaters. It opened in 1930 as an art-house venue, showing mostly foreign films. Over time it became more popular with every new technology (3D, IMAX). Now it is owned by AMC and is still considered to be a top quality theater experience.
The Roxy has always been known for its incredible sound system and intimacy. At times it even got referred to as a “theater in your own home” because of this!

Find the Pantages Theater
The Pantages Theatre is one of Los Angeles’s most famous movie theaters. It was built in 1920 as an indoor/outdoor venue, which allowed it to host events such as music concerts and movies.
In its early years, the theatre was home to many legendary films. Frank Capra filmed his masterpiece It's A Wonderful Life here in 1946, while other notable flicks were shot at the Pantages including Meet John Doe (1941) and Dirty Harry (1971).
The cinema has since fallen into obscurity, hosting mostly second-run releases and low budget productions. It closed for several months in 2008 before being reopened under new management. Since then, it has once again struggled to retain customers due to poor upkeep and uncomfortable seating.
Sadly, the Pantages no longer stands out as one of America's classic cinemas.
Find the Warner Bros. Studios
The place where most of the filming for the new Suicide Squad movie takes place is called Warner Brothers Studios in Burbank, California. You can find this studio by heading east on Riverside Boulevard from North Vermont Avenue.
While you’re there, look out for the backlit “WB” logo on the building across the street! That’s your clue that you’ve found it. (Hint: There are lots more logos like this one at WB headquarters.)
Warner Brothers was founded in 1923 by brothers Harry, Albert, and William Warners. Since then, the company has produced some of America’s top hit films including The Wizard of Oz, Gone With the Wind, What About Bob? and many others.
Sadly, WB no longer hosts any kind of tours or open houses. But if you’re ever in the area, check it out! They’ll probably let you take some pictures too.
Find the Disney Studios
The famous name of one of America’s most well-known companies, Walt Disney World Resort, is actually pretty hard to find if you are not familiar with it.
The term “Disneyland” isn’t totally wrong, but it can be misleading for first time visitors. It may even put some people off visiting because they think it refers to an amusement park that costs a lot of money!
Instead, remember that Walt Disney built his company creating theme parks - places where you go to enjoy rides and shows designed around a specific genre or area of entertainment.
That’s why we have things like Universal Orlando‘s Islands of Adventure, which features everything from thrill rides to musical stage productions. We also have waterpark resorts, such as Blizzard Beach in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, and Typhoon Lagoon at Disneyland in California.
In fact, when it comes down to it, all of these experiences are really just about having fun. They're not too expensive, and there's always something new to see and do.
