Show Hollywood Florida
This week, The Traveling Team is heading down to South Beach! If you live in the area or are visiting this weekend, then there’s some great things to do here. Some of these activities include shopping, eating, and even swimming at the beach.
If you love beaches, then it would be hard to pass up a trip to South Beach. It boasts incredible views and services for all types of people. There are many ways to spend your time while here, so choose how to best enjoy yourself.
Some of the more well-known attractions in the area include the Miami Riverwalk, the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, and the Wolfsonian-Florida Gallery. These can be fun places to explore if you have enough time during your visit.
There are also several theme parks nearby that could be interesting experiences for the kids.
Universal Studios

At Universal Orlando, you can experience thrill rides such as Transformers: Ride More Than Ever! or The Amazing Spider-Man Experience. Both of these are very popular attractions that cater to all ages.
If you’re more into action oriented experiences, then check out the new Super Hero Summer with Marvel! You will get to don your favorite superhero costume for this ride where you take control of super powers.
For those who enjoy exploring different environments, there is a boat tour which takes you through several parts of the park. While some may find it boring, I found it interesting to learn about how they create special effects for movies and shows.
There is also an area called Citywalk where guests can grab food or shopping. This is perfect because many people do not have time during the day to go back home and eat before heading back to their hotel.
Islands of Adventure

With its beautiful beaches, vast water bodies, and rich history, South Florida is known for its natural beauty. While some may not like the large tourism industry that has grown up around these attractions, others love it because they see it as a way to make money off of the area’s resources.
Island-hop in style at Universal Orlando! Visit The Simpsons Ride or Test Track before moving onto Harry Potter and Hogwarts Castle. Then hop aboard Despicable Me 2 3D or Super Monsters Bounce!. Afterward, take advantage of early park closing privileges by visiting Escape from New York, Transformers, Spiderman, Shrek 4-D, Revenge of the Mummy, Men In Black Alien Attack, or Hulk Race!
There are also many cool experiences just waiting to be done! Whether you have kids or not, there is something for everyone at this resort. There are plenty of ways to spend your time here, so don’t feel limited to only one thing.
Busch Gardens

While some may consider Tampa to be more of an outdoor beach city, there is really no beach in this area! If you want to enjoy the water, you have to go down south or up north where beaches are more accessible. Luckily for us, we have an indoor/outdoor theme park that allows us to spend time under the sky, swimming in our pool, and having fun as we ride rides.
Busch Gardens is one such theme park located in Lakeland, Florida just outside of Tampa. The park was designed and built by William G. Enos, Jr., who also constructed California Adventure in Anaheim, California. Many people refer to it as “The Newest Addition To The Disney Empire” because not only does it belong to a larger corporation, but it has become its own franchise as well. Since opening in 1990, it has won several awards for its incredible attractions, entertainment value, and overall experience.
What makes Busch Gardens so special is how interactive everything is. There are many things guests can do while at the park aside from riding rides. They can visit various exhibits, watch shows, participate in contests and giveaways, learn about different animals, and even swim in their pool if they are very close to the closing time.
Not only is Busch Gardens a great place to hang out, but it is also a way to give back to the community.
Art Basel

Starting in December of 2013, the Miami Convention Center will play host to one of the largest art festivals in America - Art Basel. This festival is typically held in Switzerland every November or early December, but this year it will be happening right here in our beautiful city!
Art Basel offers an eight-day sale that features both emerging and established artists from around the world. There are also various talks, forums, and workshops during the event for attendees to attend.
Most importantly, there is always an exhibit space set aside just for international artist work. Artists can rent a stall at Art Basel directly through their website.
The Tallahassee Film Festival

This festival was started in 2012 to promote diversity in film, increase exposure for local filmmakers, and bring in attendees and spectators to watch their films.
The first two years of this fest were held at Reel World Cinema which is now closed down so it could not be screened there.
Since then, they have moved locations twice! They initially had events taking place at movie theatres but due to low attendance, they decided to organize them into an online event instead.
That way people did not need to go out to see a movie and can stay home if they wanted to. People enjoyed this new format more and now the events are all-online.
People can still enjoy the movies as some content is still viewable through streaming services or by buying a digital copy.
Orange County Convention Center

The most well-known convention center in South Florida is unquestionably the Miami Beach Convention Facility. Opened in 1985, this 3.2 million square foot facility features 1.4 million square feet of exhibit space as well as 2.8 million sq ft of meeting rooms and facilities.
The MCF was designed to be an iconic structure that would inspire visitors while also promoting the city’s tourism industry. Since its opening it has hosted every major music festival including Lollapalooza (begun in 1991), Ozzfest (1992-1997) and Coachella (2006-present). It has also played host to many other events such as Super Bowl parties, Academy Awards ceremonies and the NCAA Men’s Basketball Final Four in 2011.
Since its inception, the MCF has undergone significant renovations and expansions to keep up with demand. These include adding 940 additional hotel room beds at the Sheraton Hotel across the street and expanding the conference floor level by 575,000 square feet.
The Hard Rock
As we all know, The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is one of the most famous hotels in America. It features an array of entertainment options that have made it very popular over the past few years.
It also boasts some pretty cool rock themed decorations and furniture throughout its rooms and restaurants. All of this emphasis on music makes sense when you consider how the hotel was founded!
The Hard Rock Cafe was established back in 1988 as a place where guests could enjoy good food while listening to music. Since then, it has blossomed into so much more than just that!
These musical touches are still present today at the Hard Rock, but now they include live performances every night. They also feature artist meet-and-greets which allow them to connect with their fans more closely.
Overall, these experiences help promote creativity, expression, and communication which are important parts of our society right now.
