Show Hollywood Studios
Recent years have seen some incredible theme parks built in various countries across the world, with each one offering something unique for very different people. While many of these new attractions are known for being spectacularly beautiful, there is another important feature they all share: They’re designed to be interactive.
Interactivity can mean anything from using rides as examples for certain concepts to having queues that weave into stories or use puzzles to add to the experience. It’s not just limited to how guests navigate the park either - sometimes it means introducing new elements like mascots or even changing the landscape.
These types of experiences enhance what you get out of the attraction by adding more depth and dimensionality to the space, and when done well, they give you things like a sense of place and connection to the area. Plus, everyone loves interacting with fun toys!
There are several major media outlets that cover this type of immersion-focused entertainment, so this article will focus on exploring ten top immersive movie studios around the globe. What makes an immersive movie studio special isn’t only its beauty but also its inspiring storytelling and effects that leave an emotional impact.
This article will include both indoor and outdoor settings, as well as staying-or-going opportunities depending on your budget and schedule.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios

With its iconic Tower of Terror, Muppet-themed Sunset Boulevard, and Rockin' Roller Coaster, it's no wonder that Hollywood Studios is always crowded.
If you're looking to have some fun at Walt Disney World, then make sure to check out this area! There are so many ways to enjoy the park here, from taking part in an interactive experience to just walking around and exploring.
There are also several restaurants in the area with great views. If you're hungry after all the exciting rides, try one of these eateries before heading back home!
And don't forget to pack your camera - there are lots of interesting things to capture during your visit! Plus, most of these places offer pictures for sale or free downloads, making it easy to spread your love of the parks.
Star Tours

With The Force Awakens, Disney really wanted to bring back that sense of wonder people feel when they enter any theme park. They did this with what is arguably their most popular ride-the Jedi Training: Trials Of The Temple!
On this adventure you will be trained as a Jedi by the franchise’s heroes in a story full of epic action and comedy. You experience things like jumping into combat or exploring a dangerous environment while riding an intergalactic vehicle surrounded only by windows.
This immersive journey takes around eight minutes and features over twenty scenes including several where guests are able to interactively choose how to play the part of a Jedi. It is totally interactive and not scripted at all!
Not only does it feature state-of-the art special effects but also uses real sound and music and employs many techniques used for creating virtual environments such as motion capture.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

With its combination of bright colors, loud sounds, large sets, and big action scenes, Disney's The Jungle Book is an ideal primer for theme park rides. In fact, one of your top five experiences in any theme park is almost certain to be a ride!
The most famous attraction at Animal Kingdom is none other than DINOSAUR!. This simulator-style ride takes you through a prehistoric jungle where riders are strapped into small carts that race down a track along with the dinosaurs around you.
You'll also get to see lots of incredible detail and design elements of the Jurassic era, including triceratops grazing or even chasing after their prey.
Other popular attractions include Soarin' which puts you inside of a vehicle that flies (or so it seems!), Mako Reels which use hydraulics to create waves, and Kali River Rapids, which drops you onto a raft as you speed through the river.
Toy Story Land

Disney’s Animal Kingdom is home to one of the park’s most popular experiences, The Jungle Trail Tour. Guests board open-air vehicles and are taken through the theme park in an almost seamless route. They may notice some of the plants and trees along the trail looking familiar as they pass by various areas!
The lush greenery gives guests the sense that there is more outside than just what they can see from their vehicle window. This feeling is perfect for creating awe and inspiration in visitors.
At the end of your tour, you will be greeted with front row seats at Kilimanjaro Safaris, where you can take in the beauty of the savannah and watch the wildlife up close.
It’s important to note that this experience is not only special because it includes African animals, but also due to how well designed it is. The vibrant colors and textures add depth and appeal to the natural surroundings, making it feel like you’re somewhere otherworldly.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

With its new space-themed land, Disney has fully committed to creating more immersive experiences for their guests. And with all of the buzz surrounding this new attraction, it seems like everyone is talking about how cool it will be.
But while most people are aware that there will be rides in the area, not as many know what those rides actually are. This can lead to some confusion as to why some stories claim certain attractions are better than others or even wrong information.
Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

The most well-known attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is also one of the best. When it opened in 2001, there was no real need for an interactive element to what was already a popular franchise. But as technology advanced and guests wanted more from their theme park experiences, so did Disney.
The company designed Tower of Terror with that goal in mind. It offers several new features that draw upon the show’s legacy while giving rise to some new ones.
When you enter the experience, you are separated into two different groups: those who have experienced the ride before and those who have not. There are only a limited number of tickets available for each group, making this a very selective experience. Only people who truly want to enjoy the tower can get entry here.
For those who have ridden the attraction before, the queue gives you an idea of how the tour goes. You will learn about various parts of the show, including scenes filmed at the studio where the show takes place. Guests who have never seen the show may be surprised by these details.
Once your party has been welcomed by cast members, it’s time to board the elevator. Once inside, you can talk, watch the movie, or do both. Your options slowly increase as you go up through the tower, but none ever feel like they are too many.
At every level except for the highest, you will encounter something called an Intermission.
Hollywood Studios Movie

With all of these movie options, it is easy to see why Universal Orlando is becoming such a popular destination! There have been many great additions in recent years that draw lots of attention, but none quite like The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
The theme park opened its doors in June 2010 as an extension of Diagon Alley from the new Fantastic Beasts film. It was only open for three months before it closed due to low guest attendance.
However, during those few months, guests had the chance to ride some incredible rides including Flight of the Hippogriff, Dragon Challenge, Voyage of the Little Nell, and Muggle Transporation. All of these experiences are characterized by very fast speeds with drops, making them must-experience attractions at Disney or any other theme parks.
Since then, The Wizarding World has become one of the most beloved parts of Universal Orlando. Many people enjoy just exploring the lands and getting more details about the stories behind each area. Guests can also find themselves spending hours trying to take down every picture and sign they pass.
Overall, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is a classic attraction. It may be older than two years, but it still brings in large crowds every day.
Animation Academy
At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, there is an area of the park that offers some behind-the-scenes looks at how animation is done. It’s called The Animation Academy and it features six different areas where guests can get a look at.
Six separate booths feature interactive experiences with both 2D and 3D graphics. In each one, you will see artists creating designs and concepts for characters and settings.
The Audio Production booth allows visitors to watch as animators create sound effects and music. This includes things like horses neighing or bears growling!
In the Graphic Design Booth, guests are able to explore all sorts of styles and techniques used to design animated films. There you will find classic cartoon logos and character illustrations as well as concept drawings and stories.
The Photography Booth gives guests a chance to learn more about taking pictures in creative ways. They show examples using stop motion photography and other advanced photographic methods.
The Storyboarding Room takes place right after the main production stage and happens mostly on computer. Artists storyboard scenes and sequences for the film before moving onto the next step.
And lastly, the Layout/Camera Tracking uses pre-designed templates and software to create three dimensional environments and backgrounds.
