There are even apps designed specifically to take over your whole screen so you don’t need to go anywhere else. All of these options offer great opportunities to stay in touch with friends or other things you like to watch.
They are taking down YouTube channels
Recent reports claim that brands have been contacting Google to take down or at least suspend popular YouTubers’ accounts for copyright infringement. This is very concerning to us because these influencers could not make money off of their channel without it!
Many times, large corporations will be made aware of potential copyright infringement done by an artist or filmmaker through social media sites like Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.

So, should you give in to that annoying urge to spend money by buying one of their premium services? Absolutely not! Luckily, there are many free streaming services out there that people use and love. Some of the most well-known ones include YouTube, Twitch, and Amazon Prime.
YouTube is a great place to start looking for all sorts of video content. You can pick and choose which channels you want to watch videos from, and some offer special features like chat or educational material. There is truly something for everyone on YouTube!

Do I need a TV subscription?
So, what are we talking about here? Does having a television show make you want to watch it immediately or is it something that you have to get into eventually?
Well, most major networks offer their shows via a streaming service now. This means you don’t have to have a cable or satellite subscription to see them! Almost every company has their own streaming service, which seems like an ever-growing list.
Luckily for us, there is a new streaming service called YouTube Red that offers lots of different services. Some of these include Netflix, Hulu, and Spotify (among others). The great thing about this service is that it is free!

Why is the TV industry in crisis?
The other day I watched an episode of The Flash that had over twenty minutes of advertisements. Twenty freaking minutes! An entire season’s worth of content with twenty long ads for products you probably never heard of before this show was even made!
That can’t be right, can it? It has to be a mistake or something. Surely someone at CW Productions or DC Comics or wherever this show is produced would not waste all this studio time and money on such foolishness, would they?
Well, yes they did. And it keeps happening more and more often.
The reason why is because those twenty-minute commercials were paid for by what’s called ad revenue subsidization. This happens when people watching your show are actually buying the advertised product as well.
Now, I know what some of you might be thinking - so what?! They should just give up advertising then! Let everyone else pay their way and we’ll watch your show for free!
But think about it for a second - if no one was paying for advertising, there wouldn’t be enough money to produce new shows, especially ones with expensive marketing campaigns like The Flash does.
