An animated movie is an entertaining way to spend your time. There are many ways to watch cartoons, from traditional 2D movies to 3D films that use special glasses or no glasses at all.
Many people enjoy animation for its beautiful graphics and stories. It’s like watching a comic book that happens live.
Since it takes so long to make an entire cartoon film, most of them have been released in short bursts over several months. This is called a direct-to-video (or sometimes referred to as “VOD”) release.
There are some great benefits to this style of filmmaking. Not only can you watch the movie whenever you want, but also not every person who wants to see the movie has to go out to a theater to do it! You can easily stream the video online or via app technology.
This article will talk about some of the best anime in America. These will include both classic and new releases.
Star Wars
In just over three decades, there have been over a dozen feature-length animated movies based on popular franchises or comic book storylines. Some stick with the source material very closely, while others add new layers to the stories in order to make their own version of the franchise more interesting!
Many of these films are totally unique creations that still hold up well today. They all share one thing though; they’re awesome!
And you can definitely tell which ones have made an impression by how many people have talked about them. People either really love them or completely hate them, but almost everyone agrees on what a great movie they are.
That is why it is so hard to choose your favorite film from this list! There are too many amazing things going on at once to pick one clearly over another.
But since we are talking about animation here, I will give my take first before choosing for you.

The Incredibles (2004)

Captain America: Civil War (2016)
Shrek Forever After (2010)
The reason I put The Incredibles as number one is because it is such a strong example of perfect storytelling through animation.
The Lion King
Released in 1994, The Lion King is one of the most well-known animated movies ever made. Not only does it hold up very well over time, but it has also set a precedent for many other films since then. Many studios use The Lion King as an example to show how animators create characters and environments.
The setting of this movie takes place during the period when lions were at the top of the food chain. After going extinct due to human intervention, they now have to learn how to live alongside people.
One such scene happens around the middle of the film where Mufasa (one of the main protagonists) confronts his son, Simba. During their argument, you can see some strong father-son bonds being built between them. While Mufasa may be gone, he leaves behind several close friends who will help guide his young successor through his life.
If anyone knows anything about being a parent, it’s Mufasa. He lived by a set of moral principles that helped him raise his kids properly. Even though he was no longer physically present, his legacy lives on through those he left behind.
Toy Story
Perhaps one of the most famous animated movies is definitely “Toy Story”! Released in 1995, this movie follows five toy toys as they are accidentally thrown out into the real world by young Andy (voiced by Tom Hanks). These new toys quickly find themselves apart-but not quite yet lost!
Throughout the rest of the film, these characters learn about friendship, responsibility, and even how to swim! The voice cast features some recognizable faces such as Bill Murray, Steve Martin, Bonnie Hunt, John Morris, Dick Butkier, and Kevin Spacey!
Overall, many people recognize the great depth of emotions that the writers were able to include within the scenes of this movie.
Harry Potter
Many people know about this franchise, but not many know all of its secrets. There have been ten main series films as well as two special events. Not only are there lots of stories to watch, there are also several in-jokes for movie watchers to enjoy.
The first film was released in 2001 and is called Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone or simply The Sorcerer's Stone for short. This movie focused mostly on our protagonist Harry Potter who we meet one year after his parents died.
He learns how to use magic while going to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry where he meets new friends. It is also revealed at the end that his father had a daughter he never told him about!
This trilogy is very popular and has made millions of dollars for author J K Rowling. She has since published five more books in the Harry Potter series with each book being set three years apart.
Back to the Future
Released in 1985, Back to the Future is one of those movies that most people have heard of at least once before. It has become very popular since its initial release due to its clever use of storytelling and characters. Many consider it as one of the greatest films ever made because of this.
Back to the Future tells the story of Marty McFly (Toby Melford), an average high school student who accidentally travels back from the year 2015 by hitting a time machine with his foot. He meets himself as a teenager and tries to change the past so that he does not travel through time again, but fails.
He then devises a way to return home using his knowledge of science and technology to succeed where he failed before. Along the way, he comes across several interesting historical events and encounters.
The film was heavily influenced by the classic novel Time And The Man by Robert A. Heinlein and the 1976 movie Time Out. Both are stories about what would happen if someone traveled into the future beyond their intended purpose.
In Back To The Future, however, things get more complicated than that.
Monsters Inc
In the movie Monster Madness, you will see some fun animated scenes. This is not the case for most movies, but here it is! The setting of this scene takes place in an abandoned factory with monsters coming out of the walls and ceilings.
In this scene, two monsters are having a conversation when they both suddenly burst into laughter. What makes them laugh so hard is that one monster has a human leg sticking out of its mouth!
