Where's Hollywood Located
The term “Hollywood” has different definitions depending on who you ask. Some people may use it to refer to the area that is home to many of the movie studios, while others may define it as what city or state the media company is located in.
Whatever definition you choose to go with, make sure your final product contains both relevant information AND CERTAIN LEVELS OF LANGUAGE!

Location tips
As mentioned earlier, not every part of the film industry resides in California. For this reason, it is important to know which cities house major production facilities. A good starting point would be to look into the list of top 10 highest grossing films of all time, and see if any include mentions of location or studio names.
Alternatively, you can do a Google search such as “film production sites + name of states��” to find out more detailed info. After doing so, compare those results with our lists below! If there is enough similarity, add those entries onto the list here.
Los Angeles
As we know, Hollywood is not only famous for its movie making, but also its fashion, music, and television production. These are all industries that require lots of resources to exist, so where they get their supplies comes into play when determining where in America is most wealthy.
Hollywood is located right next to Santa Monica Bay, which is one of the world’s largest natural supply sources of fresh water. This freshwater is essential for filming many movies and shows, as well as producing large amounts of food and medicine. All these products can be consumed or manufactured away from home base, so having enough access to clean drinking water is important.
The city of LA has been running out of water due to excessive consumption, causing some locations to move. They have even had to shut down shooting at times because there was no water! While this may sound scary, it is more likely for people with expensive homes to enjoy an income increase. Because you will be paying more for water, other things you use will also cost more.
It seems apparent then that California is quite rich already, but who knows what the future holds? If water is a luxury, I would say that being very rich is too.
Orange County
California’s second most populous county is home to some of America’s biggest movie studios as well as many top-grossing films. Known for its rich diversity, OC boasts everything from beach communities to desert landscapes.
It also has one of the country’s largest concentrations of millionaires per capita. In fact, according to CNBC, in 2015 there were more than 940,000 people living in Orange County with an average net worth of $5 million!
The area attracts wealthy residents because of their proximity to major tourist destinations such As Disneyland and Universal Studios along with world-class educational opportunities at universities like UC Irvine and UCLA.
Overall, if you want to make your way into the entertainment industry or just want to be surrounded by lots of successful individuals, this is the place to be.
San Fernando Valley
The most populous area in California is also one of the most popular areas for filming. Known as the San Fernando Valley, this region stretches from Studio City to Santa Monica along the Pacific Ocean.
The valley was home to many famous movie studios like Warner Brothers, Paramount Pictures and Universal Studios. Many more feature films have been filmed here since then including scenes for movies such as Spider-Man, Mission: Impossible - Fallout and The Greatest Showman.
San Diego is surrounded by the Angeles National Forest which makes it very expensive to film due to the cost of renting or buying property. This has helped make the San Fernando Valley so popular as there are lots of buildings and outdoor sets available.
There are several reasons why people choose to live in the San Fernando Valley. Some enjoy the close proximity to beach cities while others appreciate the diversity of culture and cuisine.
West Hollywood
If you are looking to spend your money in entertainment, then West Hollywood is the place for you! There are several movie theaters here, along with plenty of restaurants and shopping areas. You can also visit some top ranked universities here so it feels like you’re already attending an institution of higher learning.
West Hollywood is located about 15 minutes west of downtown Los Angeles. It is best known as the home of The Sunset Strip, one of America’s most famous streets that features many popular restaurants and bars. Many people call this area “The Avenue” because there are so many things to do here.

The Valley
When people refer to the “Valley,” they usually mean either the sprawling area in California surrounded by mountains that includes Irvine, Santa Clarita, Thousand Oaks, Calabasas, and other nearby cities or simply referring to the city of Los Angeles itself.
However, not all parts of the valley are like this. There is actually another name for the area beyond just Southern California!
This new term is called the Silicon Beach Area because it is home to some of the highest concentrations of technology companies in America as well as the creative industries such as film and television production.
These businesses include movie studios, sound recording facilities, editing rooms, camera equipment manufacturers, advertising agencies, and more.
Because these types of business require lots of open space, close proximity to transportation routes, and expensive real estate, the only place you will find them in the valley is along the beachfront areas.
So where is the beach? Well, there isn't one per se but we can talk about what type of beaches exist here and how travelers can get access to them if they live outside the valley.
