7. Robin Williams - Suicide By Shooting
One of the most recognizable faces in America today was found shot to death inside his home earlier this month.
Actor Kevin Spacey
In an extremely shocking revelation, actor Kevin Spacey was accused of sexual assault by his former housemate. The alleged victim came forward with her story just over a week after news broke that Spacey had been accused of groping a man at his London home back in October.
The alleged incident happened in July 2018 when the victim returned to the UK from abroad for a visit. While staying in the same shared apartment, she met the accused who she described as being intoxicated.
She said he took off her clothes and sexually assaulted her before getting out of bed to go tell other people about it. She says she then spent hours trying to piece together what had happened while also seeking help through counselling services.
Spacey is one of the most well-known actors of our time, having starred in a number of successful films including House Of Cards and All The Money In The World. He has also won two Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actor and three Golden Globes.
Actor Peter O’Toole
In May of 2013, British actor Peter Francis O'Toole passed away at the age of 79. He is most famous for his work as Sir Laurence Olivier in The King's Speech and General Marcus Hamilton in both 1983's Amphibian Man and 1984's Missing.
O'Toole was born into an acting family with three older brothers who all became actors. His father, John O'Toole, also starred in over 30 films including The Emerald Archer, For Men Who Like Their Women Badly and Goodbye My Love. Both his mother, Agnes, and his brother Michael have appeared in several television shows and movies as well.
His first screen role came when he was just five years old, playing a small part in the 1952 film A Step Ahead. Since then, he has starred in more than 70 feature length films, many of which received critical praise or recognition.
He won two Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in 1985's The Field and 1997's Venus. He is also the recipient of four Golden Globe awards and six BAFTA nominations.
It is due to his success that he is considered one of Britain's greatest living actors.
Actor Sid Caesar
Born Sidney Carl Caesar, Jr., he was a famous comedian and actor who left his lasting legacy in both entertainment and politics. He is best known for creating and starring in many popular sitcoms, including one of our favorite shows of all time- The Simpsons!
Caesar began performing comedy professionally at an early age. At only 19 years old, he made his television debut as a writer on Your Show Of Choice before making his big break in 1975 with the show Get Smart.
He would go onto create or star in over twenty different TV series throughout his career, some more successful than others. His comedic style often involved poking fun at politicians and corporations, which he never shyed away from.
In fact, one of his most well-known characters debuted while he was still hosting Saturday Night Live - Senator Larry Pressly. After leaving SNL, he ran for President twice, once as a Democrat and then later as an Independent.
Sadly, due to health issues, Caesar had to step down from acting late in life. However, he continued to make appearances as himself on various films and television programs until very recently. He passed away earlier this year.
Actor Leonard Nimoy
In an ever-shrinking world of television, film, and theater where big blockbuster productions are the norm, there is one major loss we must talk about. The passing of actor extraordinaire, voice artist, producer, director, and science fiction icon Leonard Nimoy (best known to most as Mr. Spock from TV show Star Trek).
Nimoy passed away at his home early this morning due to end-stage health issues. He was 83 years old.
While his death is certainly very sad for his many fans, it’s important to take some time to reflect on how much impact he had on so many different areas of entertainment - not just acting, but writing, producing, and directing as well.
He will be greatly missed.
Acting. Let’s face it, without him none of us would know who Captain Kirk is or what happened after the original series ended. And even beyond that? Who Sam Jackson is! Or Bill Maher for that matter.
As for me, I’m personally going to miss his interpretation of Mr. Spock. But mostly, I’ll miss his genius and passion for life and everything around him. He lived each day like it could be his last, which is something we all need to do sometimes.

Actor Peter Bogdanovich
In May of 2018, actor Peter Bogdanovich passed away at his home in Malibu surrounded by family. He was 94 years old.
Bogdarovich is perhaps best known for directing some of the most beloved films of the 1980s including The Last Seduction, What’s Love Got to Do with It?, Shot By Destiny and Who Can Kill A Child?
He also directed such classics as All Through the Night (which he wrote) and George Harrison Presents…A Film About India.
In addition to those credits, Bogdanovich has been featured in several documentaries about his career as well as his personal life.
His many accomplishments include two Academy Award nominations, three Golden Globes wins and an Emmy nomination. He was also nominated four times for Director of the Year from the American Cinema Editors.
Actor Christopher Lee
In late 2019, British actor Christopher Lee passed away at age 93. He is perhaps most well known for his work as Dracula in several classic horror films such as The Hunger Games, Hellboy, and Blade Runner 2!
Christopher was born in London in March 28, 1929. His father was an alcoholic who would often abandon him and his mother when he was very young. This left Chris with little support as he grew up and made sure to never let that break down again.
He eventually found success early in life after winning a scholarship to Clifton College where he studied English literature. It was here that he first realized his passion for acting.
After college, he moved back home to England so he could focus more on studying drama and performing. He landed his first role in a play called Living My Life With You which starred Dirk Bogarde (known for playing Inspector Llewellyn in Death On The Nile).
It was not long before he was offered another part in a movie titled Victoria Station which also featured Bogardan! That person then gave him his big break in film by offering him a small part in their new project.
That project turned out to be King Kong! Since it was filmed almost ten years earlier, no one knew of him but they were all impressed and hired him immediately.
Actor Donald Sutherland
In recent years, actor Donald Sutherland has been known for his dramatic roles. He is perhaps best remembered as CIA agent Jack Bennett in The Hunger Games series, or Ivan Prochnich in Bridge of Spies. More recently he played Gen. Robert McCandless in Captain America: Civil War and Gerald McFly in Back to School. All three of these characters received significant acclaim and praise.
Sutherland is most well-known for playing villains, making him one of very few actors who have won an Emmy, Golden Globe, SAG Award and Academy Award.
He began acting professionally at age 21 when he was hired to play Dr. Stephen Ross in Melancholy Play. Since then, he has starred in over 100 feature films and TV shows, receiving several award nominations along the way.
His many accomplishments include two Oscar wins (for Best Supporting Actor and Director) and five Golden Globes (three for Best Performance by a Foreign Actor, one for Best Drama Series - Motion Picture, and one for Best Performance By A Comedian). He also earned six Primetime Emmys, eight Screen Actors Guild Awards, and nine Razzie Awards (the latter given out annually for worst performance).
