Z film And Everything About It

Addison Smith

A few weeks ago, I wrote an article about how to make your hair look thicker and more luscious. You can read that article here! In it, I mentioned a product called “Z-Thickening Spray” or sometimes just referred to as “hair spray.” This is a very popular hairstyling tool that professional hairdressers use to help set hairs in place and give some body to the locks.

Many people have experimented with this product before, but none of them seem to agree on the best way to use it. Some say it works better when used at the beach, while others claim it does not work at all unless you are using expensive brushes. Some even said it could potentially hurt your hair if too much is applied.

Since I discussed how to use the product in my previous article, I will not go into greater detail about it there. But what I will tell you now is that most people misuse the product by applying too much of it.

I will also share one of my favorite uses for the product because I believe it is interesting and fun! So, stay tuned and read up quickly because after reading these two paragraphs, you will know how to use the product correctly and why it is important to use a little bit of it.

Don’t Breathe

z (film)

In Don't Breathe, an inexperienced team of filmmakers attempts to throw off any sort of rhythm in order to keep the audience distracted. The movie is so full of quick cuts and fast paced scenes that it almost becomes impossible.
The film tries its best to be as suspenseful as possible with very little payoff. There are only a few shots where tension can build up properly and even then there are no strong characters or storylines to focus on.

There is one scene towards the end where our main character has to fight three people but other than that, there aren’t too many moments where you feel like you get enough time to connect with anyone. You never understand who these people are outside of them having a small part to play in the plot.

This movie doesn’t know how to use its cast effectively. Most of the actors seem to be phoning it in and none of them stand out much. Even during the parts where they do show some emotion, it's not particularly meaningful.

The Meg

Many consider Joss Whedon to be one of Hollywood’s most intelligent writers, his witty scripts making him a fan favorite. His films often feature rich characters that people can relate to, smart storylines, and humor that is never too heavy or crude for the audience. He sometimes will include references to other popular media, such as Marvel Comics or video games, which only adds to his charm.

Whedon has always been passionate about filmmaking. Since he was young, he wanted to make movies, so when opportunities arose, he took them. This passion led to many creative positions in the film industry, including writer, director, producer, and actor.

He once said that his goal was to "Make people happy" with what he produces, and it seems like he succeeded. Not only are his viewers generally very satisfied by his work, but he also received several awards and recognition for it.

His first big break came when he wrote the script for _The Avengers_. Although this movie did not win any Oscars, it made over a billion dollars at the box office! That is impressive because most studios' biggest money makers are action packed thrill rides that appeal more to children.

Since then, he has written and directed various projects, some of which have been successful and some of which have not. But no matter what, he still puts his whole heart into writing each script and trying his best to bring the same level of creativity to all of them.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

z (film)

In this film, we meet an individual who will eventually become one of our main characters. His name is Peter Parker or as he calls himself, Spider-Man! He has his life in New York City turned upside down when all the spiders that live there come to life and begin attacking people.

He must find out what happened to these spiders and why they have transformed into monsters. Along the way, he meets other individuals with spider abilities which are also being used for bad purposes.

A Quiet Place

z (film)

In A Quiet Place, there are no conversations for most of the movie. Only bits and pieces here and there that we as viewers are allowed to listen to. We only see people’s faces for short periods of time so it is hard to tell what they are thinking.

There is one scene where two characters talk for a few minutes but it is very brief and nothing special happens. This creates an air of mystery about who these people are and what their story is.

It also makes you feel like you are listening to someone speak for the first time because you never get to hear how they normally sound or anything important about them.

This can be frustrating at times but it also adds more suspense to the film. You want to know more about them but you are not given much chance to find out. It is similar to when a book ends without giving you all the details!

Overall, this technique works well in A Quiet Place because everything is designed to make you focus on the silence.

Murder on the Orient Express

z (film)

A film that has stuck with me for years is called Murder on the Orient Express. It’s not necessarily easy to find, but if you do watch it then you will know what I mean when I say it totally immersed me.

It is very cleverly made. The story takes place aboard a train in Switzerland during the height of World War II. There are eight main characters and twelve sub-plots, which all intersect beautifully until the end.

The movie revolves around who would murder whom and why and how each person was drawn into this deadly game. Some people were blackmailed, some wanted money or power, others wanted revenge - it all makes sense within the context of the narrative.

But one thing I have never been able to work out is whether anyone truly meant to kill someone else. In many cases, no matter how strong their feelings, they didn’t actually want to hurt them enough to cause death. Even those who planned the murders often don't fully understand the consequences before they act.

This isn’t just true of individuals, but entire cultures as well. We see this portrayed in the way different nations reacted to World War II and the Nazis. Many people had hateful things to say about Hitler and his regime, but there were also plenty of other reasons why they wouldn’t actively support him.

The Goldfinch

z (film)

In The Goldfinch, a film written and directed by John Myra, an eight-year-old boy becomes obsessed with a goldfish he finds in a trash can. As his obsession escalates to crazy levels, so does the plot of the movie.

The story follows several different timelines all at once. It begins in 1999 during the final days of the Clinton administration, when young southerner Aneel Ahmed is walking through New York City’s Union Square after dropping off some belongings at his new apartment.

He comes across a small crowd gathered around what appears to be a dead cat. Curious, he approaches and discovers that it is indeed a recently deceased pet goldfish.

While there are many possibilities as to why someone would throw away a live fish, it is very unlikely that they would do so to a corpse. Therefore, one must assume that this individual was either too lazy or not caring enough about the animal to properly dispose of it.

This leaves two conclusions: Either the person who owned the fish died, or the owner left town without telling anyone. This person clearly did not care much for their own life, which makes them seem kind of weird.

After realizing that the former possibility has been confirmed, we meet our main character. He is named Theo, and he is an intelligent, bookish child in middle school. His parents have just broken up, leaving him alone in the world.

Don’t Talk

z (film)

In the film, an alien invades Earth by taking over humans and making them talk. The movie begins with some people talking in a crowded room before the aliens show up. As they do, everyone but one person is brutally murdered or consumed. This leaves our main character unable to speak.

The rest of the movie revolves around this individual trying to figure out what just happened and why he survived while others didn't. He comes across as very odd and unlike himself because he cannot communicate how important speech is to humanity.

We see several scenes where characters try to get his attention so that they can help him, but it only makes him more determined to remain silent.

At times, his silence seems almost intentional, creating a sense of mystery about who this person is and what made him the way he is. We are left wondering if he doesn’t want to talk for fear of what might happen if he does.

The Underground Railroad

z (film)

One of the most well-known stories in American history is that of The Underground Railroad. During the 1830s, slavery was an increasingly uncomfortable topic for many people. Millions had witnessed the horrors of slave markets first hand or heard horrific tales of how slaves were treated at work and at home. For some, it was more than they could take.

For others, however, it was too much to bear. They’d seen enough and decided it wasn't worth it anymore. They'd rather risk arrest than continue supporting something that they felt was wrong.

Many of these men and women helped smuggle enslaved Africans out of their country via the North or Europe, then onto the Caribbean or South America before bringing them here. Some even paid smugglers to do this for them!

These individuals played a major role in ending what has been described as “the greatest evil ever perpetrated against any human race.” It is no coincidence that The Underground Railroad ran its course during one of our nation's biggest moral dilemmas - the Civil War.

Civil war isn’t just about two opposing political ideologies fighting it out; it’s also about competing ideas of what should be done with your life. Many Americans believed that African enslavement was morally acceptable and thus supported it. Others thought otherwise and took action to change this.

The actions of those who fought to abolish the practice of chattel slavery are what make this story so remarkable.
