9 Reasons Why Los Angeles is the BEST Place to Live
Los Angeles is a truly interesting and unique city.
It has a unique climate with incredible weather, some of the highest mountains in the country, is close to many major cities and has an incredible diversity of ethnicities and nationalities.
It has great natural amenities like beaches, mountains, cities, and the desert that not only give it a romantic appeal but an incredible beauty that can not be found anywhere else. I’ve lived in LA for 15 years and I’ve seen many changes in Los Angeles since I’ve moved here.
The city has changed but in the past years its actually been getting even more interesting, even more interesting.
Here are my reasons why Los Angeles is the best place to live.
1. Adequate Weather
Los Angeles is the warmest city in the world, according to the Global Climate Index.
In summer, the temperature can reach up to 90 degrees Celsius (185 Fahrenheit) and in the winter it can be -8 degrees Celsius.
Unlike in many other cities in the world, the temperature in Los Angeles is not really bearable if it’s even just slightly too high. In addition, the city is always dry and the weather is not too cold or too warm.
2. Very Different
In many cities in the world, the biggest attractions are the rich history, the sights and the people, but in Los Angeles you don’t have to go far to have an adventure.
If you want to get your adrenaline running or get a little bit of excitement, there are always things to do and see.
You can explore a different cultural heritage, enjoy entertainment and a multitude of new shops and restaurants.
When you’re in Los Angeles, you will never be bored.
3. Low Crime
Los Angeles has some of the lowest crime rates in the world. Not only do violent crimes not happen too frequently, but it's very safe to walk around in general.
In my opinion, it’s just not possible to be too safe in the USA when it comes to violent crimes, because you’re never far from the ocean, mountains or even a desert.
4. Amazing Things To Do
Los Angeles has more than 100,000 public artworks (drawings and sculptures) installed throughout the city.
It’s also home to a large number of museums and galleries, such as the California Science Center and the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County.
The Hollywood Sign, Griffith Observatory, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Grand Park and Walt Disney Concert Hall are just some of the many world-famous attractions that you can visit on a day trip to Los Angeles.
One thing you should also know is that on a sunny day, you can see from the top of the ocean to the peaks of the Hollywood Hills.
5. The Sun
I really have to mention this because when I travel I always feel that the most important part of the whole trip is not only going to the important places but also spending some quality time with the people.
In Los Angeles, you can enjoy a lot of outdoor activities that do not require you to be in the shade. Los Angeles is not the sunniest place in the country, but it is one of the sunniest. There are countless places where you can go and sit under the sun without feeling any discomfort.
If you want to get a tan, you can just step outside your house and you will feel like you’re on vacation. The only way you can get over the summer heat is to go to the beach or to one of the many swimming pools in Los Angeles.
Most people who live in Los Angeles don’t really get a chance to enjoy the sun.
That’s why many people, who are in their late twenties and early thirties, try to escape the smog and the bad weather by traveling to somewhere with better weather.
Los Angeles is not the best place for the sun, because you don’t even need to go to a beach because there are plenty of beaches everywhere in Los Angeles.
If you want to get away from the busy and bright city, you should try to take a road trip.
6. The Music
The USA has one of the biggest music industries in the world and Los Angeles is one of the most musical cities in the world.
Musicians come from all over the world to record there and I can’t think of a city in the world that is more inspiring.
Thousands of people live in Los Angeles to work in the music industry and one of the most famous places for rock music is Hollywood Boulevard.
The nightlife in Los Angeles is a bit like night and day but it really depends on the kind of people you’re going to meet.
If you’re looking for creative people and good vibes, Los Angeles is your city.
The only way to experience a good night out is to go to a place like Venice Beach, Santa Monica or even the notorious nightclubs in West Hollywood.
7. Street Art
Street art is one of the main attractions in Los Angeles. The city is covered with numerous murals and it can be hard to find a corner that is not filled with amazing images.
When I was there, it was really impressive to see the different kinds of murals and how they were made. I’ve never seen anything like it before and it was really inspiring.
9. Last Minute Vacations
If you have a few days left until your flight, you should definitely go to Los Angeles.
It’s such a nice place and it is filled with great places to relax. You should also visit Hollywood and spend some time in a movie theater. The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles is probably the biggest outdoor theater in the world.
The Playhouse district is a big part of Hollywood and it’s the perfect place to go if you want to enjoy some nice Italian food.
10. Shopping
Most people visit Los Angeles to visit the Hollywood strip but that’s only a small part of what you can do there.
The famous Hollywood mall, The Grove, is perfect for any last-minute shoppers. When you have some extra time, you can also try to find some excellent stores that sell cute and fashionable clothes.
This is one of the most happening places in Los Angeles and you can also find some really nice clothes here. The other great thing about Los Angeles is that it is always crowded with tourists so you will never be bored
